Very nice Sam, awesome pix!

I'd like to do Yosemite via the FJR and Tioga. That's the only pass I have not traversed in the Sierra's.
Tioga isn't open yet, Simon. USUALLY they plow it for Memorial Day weekend. There's still snow up high so Glacier Point wasn't open, either.

Luckily it has been really warm and we had mid-70s on the valley floor.

I've been having a continuing conversation with Sam about Yosemite and was excited and felt privileged to be invited to ride with him on his adventure onto the valley floor.
Like Sam, I've been THROUGH the park and actually stopped and took pictures from the road shoulders but never actually stopped and walked around, let alone took the 1/2 hour to walk to the falls or into the meadows (where allowed). Shame on me! This was an entirely different event and I'm so glad I went with Sam.
He's right, in that one really should park and walk and experience what Yosemite has to offer. I'm not a "hiker" so climbing the canyon on the different trails is LOW on my "to-do list", it's an easy walk to those features we photographed.
