So...are they filled with gravel? 555...26...800...536..556...78...etc

Can any of you Ohio boys help me out?

TriggerT and I are leaving tommorrow for the Marietta Comfort Inn...where we are going to base for some riding using the SE Ohio Ramble route from 2007 and 2008. This is a last minute change from SE Missouri riding that we had planned. Looks like the weather will be good in Ohio vs Missouri...thus the switch.

Wheatie, will do a bit of scouting Friday night. Can't promise much tho. Avoid 550. Hear the cops are patrolling it like crazy now. Especially round Sharpsburg.

Thanks for the hint...TriggerT and I will be taking that on Friday evening to get to Marietta from Athens.

I've only been on 555 from Zanesville to Ringgold and 78 from Ringgold to Nelsonville.Nothing out of the ordinary,a little dirty here and there but not bad.

Saturday is supposed to be beautiful...70's and sunny, have fun.

Wheaton,

The roads are in great shape! ST RT 555 from Chesterhill to Ringold still had sand in the middle of most of the road. Especially at the crest of hills. They are also doing some logging on that strecth.

I have recently been on 78, 37, 13, 93, 124, 141 and they are primo. St Rt 26 is fantastic for about 20 miles out of MArietta and then you have to deal with the old road and front cracks.

ST RT 800 is a go! St Rt 146 is a go ! ST RT 664 is a go !ST RT 56 is a go. St rt 181 is a go ! you are staged and ready.

I will be out in the afternoon look for an '08, you will know it is me as my plate is also my handle on here.

PM me with your cell.

Jeff

Avoid 676 in Morgan Co it is like they treated for ice 2 days ago!! Very poor condition.

Wheaton, less than 2 miles West of Caldwell, you'll encounter a left hander then up a hill where the road surface has been milled. It's shortly after the Noble County Correction Facility. It's not too bad but will take you by surprise if you're going too fast.

After that, 78 is really good the rest of the way to McConnelsville.

Balbou is correct about 555 from Chesterhill, West to 78 (Ringold). There are still plenty of areas with gravel and sand on the road.

Myself (08 Concours) & a friend (GSXR 1000) are planning on leaving McConnelsville around 1:30 Saturday, heading out 377 (which is in good shape) to Chesterhill. On to Marietta from there, probably on 555.

If you have time or interest in a 25-30 minute out & back, 376 North to the county line is worth it (new pavement last year & curvy) :clapping:

If you have any further questions, let me know. - Bryan
