...I noticed Exxon is not on the list...

"Exxon and Mobil Fuels

For decades, Exxon and Mobil have provided reliable and trusted fuels that not only meet, but exceed customer confidence and expectations. At home or on the move, quality performance is at the heart of every product we sell. We are proud of our longstanding reputation for excellence in our industry and will continue to anticipate and meet the growing needs of consumers. And rest assured, Exxon and Mobil branded retail gasolines meet TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline Standards."

I think they just don't want to pay for the Rights to be labeled as such.
Could be a pubic relations thing???

My 03 lives with Sea Foam all the time nd an extra dose for winter storage. I have used it for at least 15 years.

It's not bad with Tonic and ice either.
What the **** is "winter storage", Hombre? No sabe "winter storage", ese!
At least the fuel doesn't boil out of the bike like it does in Arizona from May to September.........

Um. . . Exxon is on the list.

That post you quoted is over 3 and a 1/2 years old! Maybe they WEREN'T on the list back then...............

I put the occasional can of Seafoam in. However EVERY tank gets Yamaha Ring Free. Crap, it's probably all snake oil but it makes me feel better. And then in a purely unscientific analysis, an 03 FJR owner took my 127,000 mile FJR out for a ride a couple weekends ago to try the Rifle windscreen and came back exclaiming 'Damn, that thing runs strong, what did you do to it?'.

Years ago I had a CB750F that wouldnt idle after sitting for the winter. Put STP gas treatment in it and it eventually cleaned it out, never had to touch the carbs. Granted, before gasohol and injectors.

I have a 32 OZ bottle of Sta Bil Marine. I mix 16 oz of Marine Sta Bil and 16 oz of Ring Free in it. I use it about every other tank, dead of winter every tank.

I've found that, with every other tank, if I take a piss into the tank, all the chemicals and unprocessed booze gives the engine internals a real spit shine.
How the hell did Bustanut post under Bounce's login???
+1, Gunny; only possible explanation is that Brother Bounce was out drinking with Bustanut joker last night, WORD! jes' sayin' and nuff' said!

Best chuckle of the day!!

It's Friday and I only have 15 work days until I retire. What else would I be doing?
Being a short timer is a wondrous thing, fo' sho'! I know the last few weeks were by far the best ones in my own (short) Navy career.

Congrats to you on the upcoming event.

Now... Have you figured out whatcha' gonna do with all of your free time?

Start a new venture?

Or just go out on your own adventures?

Finish out the interior of The Shop.

Clean out the garage and get some of it properly stored in The Shop loft.

Build/install some storage along the edges of the garage.

If I'm not out in 5 years, come in and get me.

Do some riding. Enjoy some cigars. Learn the guitar.

"Yamaha Ring Free" is the hot lick all the factory wrenches swear by. You can use it as "maintance" or in your case "shock treatment." Best to ask your Yamaha mechanic about "shock treatment" when you P/U up a bottle. I understand you need to change your oil and filter right after a shock treatment. It's suppose to be great.

I spoke to the Service Rep from Yamaha for 30 years. He swears by Ring Free and says he has since it was made. Says there is nothing better. Was not trying to sell me just school me. And while he said it came out of their boat division, it is all that and a bag of chips for their bikes.

I have used it for 8 month religiously and bought a case of 32 oz bottles.

It is not Snake Oil IMHO and was nice to hear someone affiliated with Yamaha for so long recommend and swear by it.

As always your bike, so you can piss in the tank, or put what you want in it, but with the carbon we are seeing on butterflies in the intake tract it can only be worse down the intake line. Think piston tops, rings, valves, and fuel injectors. My FJR is not going anywhere so time will tell if it was money well spent. I know the Marine Sta Bil(blue)is a must up here in the North with the Ethanol fuel they force feed us.

I use this mix in my Turbo car and the FJR.
