A friend of mine had an FJ1200 when we went to EOM 05. It kept stalling at idle and he took the sed bowls out a few times thinking it was dirt. When he got home and tore it all apart it was the floats weighted down with varnish which was causing the problem. New floats and he was fine.

I've been reading about Seafoam on here and thought I would try it in my 1997 GMC Sonoma. It's got 170000 miles, is losing a little bit of itself every day to rust, and has been running very rough at startup and for about the first 15 minutes of running. It's been running this way for at least 6 months. I put a pint of Seafoam ($9 at the Dollar Store) in a full tank and ran it through over the last couple of weeks. In a way I'd like to say it did nothing and it's all snake oil, but the thing is running great now. I'm definitely a believer. I figure I'll put 4 oz in the FJR as preventive maintenance every so often.

Like you...I thought what could a strangly named product called SeaFoam do for me?

Well I found out "strangly named product" produced great results... good to have an open mind or I would have never known.

Thanks for sharing.

My 03 lives with Sea Foam all the time nd an extra dose for winter storage. I have used it for at least 15 years.

It's not bad with Tonic and ice either.
I hear tell Bill Clinton dipped his cigars in Sea Foam till he encountered Monica!!
