Why would you need to change them? I never changed the one on my '07 and it is just shy of 100k and never leaked a drop. Don't mean to piss on your sale, though. Looks like you already have them sold. FWIW I also don't change the oil plug washer either.

I'd say upgrade to the solid aluminum washers used in Hondas, one will last you a long time. Torque til snug (~22 ft. lbs). If you torque it more, it will deform more and eventually squish out around the drain plug. I use them in all my bikes front and back, $0.35 each. You can get them at your Honda car dealer or pack of 10 on ebay or Cyclemax. Bike dealer will charge you more.

Glad you sold them so........I'm at 71K, stock crush washer on both plugs, no drippy! One day, one day I swear, I will see that telltale sign of a spot on the garage floor, and know the error of my ways.....

I couldn't agree with you more.

I'm a member of several forums - Diesel Trucks, BMW, Goldwing, Boats, Fishing, etc.

This, and the other FJR forum are the only places where folks list items for sale, then have to battle with useless comments from non-buyers.

On the other forums, the Moderators shut this stuff down pretty quick.
