The seat handle/luggage rack is broken on my 2004 FJR. The handle is broken on the left front just at the left mounting mounting point under the seat. I am looking for advice on a bonding material that would create a strong enough bond so I can use the handle to put the bike on center stand. I have tried your run of the mill epoxi and it failed in short order. I think the part is made of some sort of hard plastic. Any one with experience in this area, your suggestions and comments would be welcomed. New part through Yamaha is about $650.

One doesn't use the rack to place the bike on the centerstand. Maybe that's why it broke.

There's a handle under the seat for that purpose...

Don't put the safety of your passenger at risk - buy a new or used intact rack.

If you want a Better Bass Boat Blue one, you can have it for the cost of shipping from Washington to Georgia. You can rattle can it or I bet Gerauld would paint it for ya. PM me here or juniorfjr1300atgmaildotcom
