SFO 2007 dates

I've been getting some questions about our plans, so its time share with you what Bounce and I have been talking about for dates. The spring date for SFO will be April 27-30. The fall date will remain the first weekend in October, the 5th - 8th. So mark your calendars and more details will come soon!

SFO was originally planned for 2 events and that's what we are going to stick with. My partner in all of this, Bounce, will handle most of the details for the fall ride since I may have some overtime at work during that month. I was able to iron out this issue with my boss when I asked him about it a second time. I was given more clarification and Bounce said he'd take care of anything I may not be able to.

That may have been the case before...but I think that organiser has left the building. Who knows, there may not be any CFO this year. So you can't really plan for that. In my mind, I would say organize as many meets as you want. Lets just be working with each other on this stuff as it comes up.

Anybody that wants to organize a meet should be able to arrange a meet. Maybe a CFO will organize something in the spring-who knows. Maybe someone will organize it for Kentucky and not Arkansas - who knows. Then again, maybe someone will organize something in May for Arkansas.

Whatever...its all good...even if there are conflicting dates. Last year the EOM & CFO were only a week apart. Sometimes that happens, not optimal...not a big deal.

Let's just not tell someone NOT to organize a ride after they have started the actual work for it and people have started to get psyched up for it...

Moving forward, clarifying the difference between rides and Events, and coordinating Events to maximize participants' options while avoiding scheduling conflicts...

We had a great SFO 2006 over Columbus Day weekend this year. I'm looking forward to a great 2007.

The concensus during SFO 2006 was to hold future SFO Events in Russellville and to try to do one in the Spring as well as the Fall. So, with FJRChik at the helm for the SFO Spring Thing (April 27-30), I'd like to encourage everyone to make plans either for it or for the SFO Fall Freakout over Columbus Day weekend in 2007 (both if at all possible). I know I want to attend both weekends if my job allows.

Twice the SFO Events. Twice the Event fun!

More details to come. More fun than should be legal!

A week apart is still no problem for some of us... If they were close together I could go from one to the other and not go all the way home first before heading out again.

I'll check on gokarts Flow! And BYOB boys, its dry like a desert there. Even the restaurants didn't serve which totally surprised me.

Southern Comfort, Canadian Club, Crown Royal Special Reserve and some sorta Scotch made appearances this year!

Some sort of Scotch was a full bottle of Talisker.........I unfortunately drank most of it myself. Made the next morning at the Waffle House a little dicey........

I'm headed to Argentina in two weeks, and so I may look into wines. Maybe a good wine along with the Talisker. Just less Talisker than last time..........sheesh.............
