I would like to attend the SFO10. I am wondering how many others may attend from the Houston area. It would be nice to go as a group especially since it is a 600 mile trip (or more).

Don't know when it is yet.

We (Bambi and I) usually ride up and stay in Texarkana as 600 miles is a little too far to go two up. Almost a CBA ride.

There are a number of us around Hootin', maybe we'll get organised someday

I haven't made it to a gathering yet, but hope I can work SFO into the schedule this year. I earned an additional week of vacation this year, so that's one less excuse. I'm more than happy to ride up as a group.

The facebook event for SFO is posted as Thursday, May 13 at 8:00 am until Sunday, May 16 at 10:00 pm. I don't know if that's official yet as I haven't seen it posted on the board.

There definitely needs to be some Houston ride soon. Maybe 3090 when it's warmer than 20 degrees, but not too warm that all the cruiser guys are out clogging up the roads.

So look forward to lots of big news before this year is out. Registration will open mid-January. And in case anyone missed it, the dates are May 13-16, 2010 at the Best Western Eureka Inn.

I'm riding from Nawlins' and a number of us who wanted to break the ride up into two days met and stayed at the Holiday Inn in Little Rock Wed night - very nice place with full blown buffet breakfast.

Then we traveled with our local guide Kirrilian up the twisty Pig Trail to Eureka on Thur morning.

If good weather and health, would like the kewl 21 to 16 to 23 ride from Little Rock.

Might want to do the same overnight in Little Rock with Feej peeps this year and just post up if so.

let's ride safe and be careful out there,

Mike in Nawlins'

Thanks Patriot for helping fill in the info for folks who have missed it. We will be getting registration open at some point this month, that is my goal. A new website is in the works. I'm sorry I can't be online all day to keep answering questions but I like this job and I can't lose it. ;)

I'm in again for this year, if it was on the 20th I wouldn't have been able to go due to a work conference. I'll be glad to lead some folks up there again if yall want to.

If I'm going, I'm TRAILERING! Yes, yes I am, the pile-on line starts to the right! :meeting:

That is, if the second Kendon I got, the one the company sent me after the first one, an unadulterated POS, was beyond fixing. :angry03:

It's Karma. Your FJR hates to be carried by anything except it's own 145 HP.

You should rethink the trailering thing. It's a nice ride from Austin. A little long, but if you leave early and take breaks shouldn't be a problem to get there before sundown. Besides, that's what these bikes are for is riding distances like that.

I will be going again this year, but I don't have any idea about timing or route. I may have some other folks who will ride up with me that week, but they are not FJR riders, so I don't know about their plans. Get in touch with me when we get a bit closer and we may be able to get a group together from Houston.

Thanks Bill! I willl contact you when things get closer. No problem riding with a non FJR group. I ride with a Victory group occasionally. Not much fun and I usually leave them after lunch so I can have some fun coming home.

Anyone from around Tyler (or coming through Tyler) planning on going?

I've never been to an SFO gathering, but it sounds interesting. Besides, northern AR roads are :yahoo:

I expect there will be a couple of us leaving the Dallas Area and heading up through Ok. in order to catch the Telemina state 1 across to Mena and North from there.

We could probably set a meeting point somewhere around New Boston and ride together from there on up.

We can work that out as the event gets closer.

Yes they are!

I'll be heading up on Thursady A.M. from Texarkana, going the long way. Through Russelville, meet Glory Racing over on Push (just cant seen to get enough of that road) run it a time or 5 then head over to E.S.
