I just made time to watch Tyler's wonderful collection of photos. Wow. That was really impressive. She even got to touch a whale. The closest I ever get to touching a whale is Mrs. Redfish Hunter and that is really not much fun... :upset:
I do not want to go off topic but, I pee'd my pants on this one Redfish! Insert "Wet spot in my shorts" smiley (Here).

He likes living on the edge, Majic.

OK, on-topic picture (had a chance to meet Sean Connory in Italy this summer. What a ****.)

Agreed!! Thanks for chiming in with those... wonderful look at lands far away... the Amsterdam shot took me back to when I was 19 and went to Europe for the first time on a guided young people's tour... that is one interesting town!! ;)

Frank, you'v got a great looking bike, very nice color with straps. BTW, I was cruising in Norway in 2011 with my wife, it is really very beautiful country, great landscapes and sceneries. Would come back without a second thought only if it wasn't so damn expensive

Never said it was, Mark. Sean Connery's a very nice man. This guy was a ****.

I liked your pics too, Frank. Love to see pics of those far-off lands. With an FJR in 'em.

I took a survey of everyone in the room, and came up with the winning photos so far. Some tough competition, but we tried to stick with the ones that included one or more FJRs. (I'm pretty sure some of the winners were inadvertently dropped off in trying to cut the "also rans" out of the various posts, so if yours didn't make it, that's probably what happened to it. In no particular order:

It's already gone off the rails; no motorcycle. But don't you want to ride down through that curve?

Just impressed you got the bike down that dock, Pants. And if you'd gotten it down onto the beach, the second shot would have been the clear overall winner. (But what big feet your wife has. And why do you paint your toenails?)

Another strong finisher. Would have come in higher if not for that garish topbox.

The panel of judges seemed to like this one a lot. They're still working on photoshopping out that non-FJR.

Another irresistible piece of American Road--"Pictures Without Motorcycles" division.

Artistic composition Honorable Mention Award, "Gimmicky Use of Mirrors" category

Kind of easy to pick the losing picture on the whole damn thread. Unanimous.

Someone was trying to use this Ferrari as an earth mover at the 2012 EOM with less than stellar results....

Ah... damn... Glacier NP. I so need to get my sorry *** there to experience it. I even have a photo (stolen from Zooom) on my kitchen wall to remind me every day of my shortcomings. You westerners have an unfair advantage there.

And thanks, SactoMike, for including my relatively lame (in comparison) photo in the "judges awards." While it is a cool and secluded spot that not many FJR riders dare to venture to, it certainly doesn't compare to the grand majesty of those giant Sierra and Rocky mountain shots, or our european friends' Alpine views. Out here, we have to make do with our geologically ancient and worn down mountain vistas. But they do lift one's heart, and that is the whole point afterall, ne'z pas?

But let's not put a stake in the ground yet. I bet there are some more folks that have awesome adventurous FJR travel photos from 2012 to share. Keep 'em coming gang.

Calling your attention to the poster of that pic, Fred. Out here, we don't consider anybody from Bowmanville, Ontario a "westerner." If you don't see Glacier, it's your own damn fault.

And once you get that far, might as well see some of our other good stuff. Look forward to meeting you at, say, Yosemite?

yabbut, Billy is a vagabond, and he knows it.

Yes, Yosemite is #2 on th bucket list. I only hope to be able to stay long enough to make it really good. Maybe a year? ;)

According to folks from Toronto since I live east of Pickering I live somewhere off the edge of the known world.

Without a doubt, this is my favorite thread on the FJR Forum!!! I am so friggin amped up right now, I feel like calling work on Monday, telling them $&*@)$&@#, and taking off somewhere.... heck, ANYWHERE!!

SacromentoMike - thank you for the props, but quite frankly, I'm not worthy. Anyway, I think that shade of polish really makes my toes pop!!
