Howdy folks. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on when to shift to maximize all 5 gears. The factory recommended shift points are fine and all, but I feel like I can get more out of the bike. Thanks in advance.
I am going to agree with this advice. I do not understand what "more" you can get by using precise shift points.Don't lug it ... Anything else is pretty much OK ...
The shift points recommended by the manual are ridiculous. The factory recommended shift points are fine and all, but I feel like I can get more out of the bike. Thanks in advance.
Very true. The shift points recommended in my R1's manual were a joke as well. The shift points recommended by the manual are ridiculous. The factory recommended shift points are fine and all, but I feel like I can get more out of the bike. Thanks in advance.
The original poster has a 2014, reverse doesn't come out until 2017. Will a reverse gear make it a Gen 4?? Or will it make it a Gen 2 since it now goes backwards?Just don't accidentally shift into reverse.......
It only takes money!!Regarding shifting, the first time I had rearsets with GP shifting (reversed), it was VERY odd, to say the least. I wonder if I can arrange to have GP shifting on my FJR. Hmmm.......
A reverse gear will make it a Goldwing...JSNSThe original poster has a 2014, reverse doesn't come out until 2017. Will a reverse gear make it a Gen 4?? Or will it make it a Gen 2 since it now goes backwards?Just don't accidentally shift into reverse.......
