I've searched on here and have found varied opinions on these tires, but for the price, I thought it was worth trying them out! I plan to install these before our LD rides to Denver and New England late summer/early fall.

Anyone have recent experience other than the compound is hard and not as sticky in the curves as PR4's and T30GT's?

I've worn out a couple sets. Didn't like the way the front felt but the rear was fine for me. YMMV.

Allen,

I ran a set a few years back...also thought they were a good deal. Not very inspiring in the twisty stuff (more like down right scary). But if you're doing a lot of slab, and not pushing them in the twisties, they might just work for you.

I can't say that I'd recommend them.

Thanks, Joe. I saw your old post in a prior thread. Do you think the compound is just too hard off the center and that is what makes them uninspiring or do they not hold a line easily while cornering?

Similar experience like Joe several years ago. They went more miles than any tire I've used. In spite of manufacture claims, IMO, there's no secret sauce with tires. Harder rubber last longer but isn't very good in twisties. Soft rubber is the opposite. That's about all there is to it.

I recently tried a Conti Road Attack 2 GT rear and was impressed with the grip. It turned out to be no wonder because I took it to the cords in 1800 miles of the western Carolina roads I ride. Soft rubber.

Had a rear tire on my bike a few years ago. The tire worked fine and I would not have a problem with using them again in the future.

No worse than putting a car tire on your bike.
