That is some good color! Those maples always pop the best with their reds and oranges.

PS - I hear you about the massive quantities. I tried to pick just a few good representatives from the past few years.

Beemer,

Do those scooters ever get bogged down on those hills?? Is that the story you give the LEO when he pulls you over?? "honestly officer, I was just keeping my speed up for the next hill."

That looks like great fun. I have an 85 honda spree that often gets flogged like a rented mule on some side streets.

Cav47, the Vespa 300's accelerate just great. Since I am long time friends of the Management of Edelweiss Bike Travel they upgraded Miss Donna and Papa Chuy Viejo to an Aprilia Scarabeo 500, that scooter had 40 horsepower. I first rode Tuscany with my BMW R60/2 with only 30 horsepower, so this moto moved!

Elaine and Heather rented the Vespa 125's and they were slower on the straightaways, but both gals are excellent riders and did great in the curves! JSNS!

Is it just me, or is this about the most beautiful picture of a curve ever? The smooth pavement; the sweeping curves; the lines popping; the trees; the rocks; it all makes for an awesome shot of a curve.

Never been up there so I wonder: Is the rest of that road as appealing?

That does sound like it has the power to navigate those hill and curves.

I wonder how many(few) horses my 1985 spree has still pumping from that 49cc monster.

Maybe I should take it to get dynoed. I wonder what the tech guy would say when I rolled it up there to get strapped down??

Thanks!

It is pretty damn good. It is Route 108 between the villages of Stowe and Jeffersonville to the North. It is a seasonal road that closes in the snowy months. The twisty part of the notch road is only about 4-5 miles long

You might not be able to tell in the photo, but the road is only about a car and a half wide here, and with the completely blind turns between the giant roadside boulders it is always a small leap of faith to blast through here at much more than a crawl. But sometimes ya gotta do what you just gotta do.

Question time. I would be curious what kind of camera(s) are being used, specifically those used from the saddle. I know the camera I typically use would have trouble focusing on the move. I know Fred and his "wonderful" pillion have snapped some really nice shots over the years. Like mentioned earlier in this thread, I too would like to carry a camera on a lanyard to capture some shots along the way and would like some suggestions. Maybe next time you post some pictures, can you confirm the equipment used?-Thanks

And you would have to strap that beast down, too. Otherwise, death, carnage, mayhem, dogs living with cats...
