I'm scratching my head and wondering, WHY?

Doesn't seem to be making a statement (social or political).

Not supporting a "Cause".

Maybe its sort of a "Kumbaya" moment that I couldn't possibly understand?

Won't that generate a CO2 spike if everyone in the world starts and runs their bike at the same time?

"Sync the Planet": I was thinking that would be where everyone points their bikes due east, and then accelerates as hard as they can at the exact same instant to try to slow down the earth's rotation a little bit. See, I'm getting a bit older and I'd like my remaining days on earth to all be a little longer with fewer days per year.

Now, FredW's got a good idea going, although I think the CO2 spike would be better called "Sink the Planet", and everybody accelerating eastward at the same instant would be better called "Un-Synch the Planet.
