It is nice to hear that Ian is in fact still alive and well. That is good news to hear!

I am still concern of money out and not product in hand. I know I am not alone in this and if there is a way anybody closer to him that can help that would excellent.

I ordered windshield spacers last week and had them in 3 days. Someone is still getting emails and shipping. Pretty damn fast delivery, impressive. Sounds like more of a communication issue or maybe a little overwhelmed.

I sent him a PM a couple of days before the group buy on the SOLTEKS ended because I wanted to calarify shipping details with him before I ordered. No response, no order. I guess he saved me the trouble of having to buy a huge tube of silicone in order to waterproof them....

I don't know, but I'd guess it has to do with the problems with the soltek group buy. I don't blame him for keeping his head low. Baja seems to have difficulty with their lights for the time being, and that tends to reflect badly on Skyway.

If he were to post publicity, I'm sure he'd be drowning in "Where's my lights, where's my lights!" posts.

Truly I understand where he's coming from, it's out of his hands, and any mention of it only brings more aggravation to those that don't have the patients to wait for an overall good deal.

Things can go bad with group buys, and I can see why there aren't more of them going on. It seems that there is a hitch in every GB that comes down the pike. I got my lights, and I'm patiently waiting for my brackets. I'm sure they'll be here any time now, and if not, then I'm sure they'll be here tomorrow.

To everyone that has ever done a group buy, I thank you, and to everyone that has done a second group buy, I applaud you. You are a glutton for punishment, but in the end, we that persevere, appreciate it. Thank you.

I ordered two pairs of sliders from Skyway last Friday. I received a call the beginning of this week to confirm that I really needed two pairs, not just two sliders. I received a shipping notification on Tuesday, I have a package on the way from Skyway. Just one more experience to throw into the mix.

I am also waiting on Soltek brackets. However, I am okay with it. Ian is working with BajaDesign (BD) to work out issues such as lights leaking and to get me the missing rock guard and missing connector that were left off my order by BD.

When I ordered my Soltek's I also order some other items an had them in a very short time. I have been pretty happy with the service I have received.

you know, a few negative posts out of his 20-30 orders per day don't identify a trend, they identify aberrations. Skyway is a honest, hard working guy that does care about customer service and the positive end result. I am sure he'll do his best to fix any problems if they can be fixed. Also, you can see the other more established threads on this very topic in the group buy sections. You could save him time by reading up on that and thereby reduce the interruptions to his production run of your brackets.

I understand that your situation has been sub par for his course. Since Skyway has done so much for the FJR community, I am just asking that we all help him out in a hard time.

Don't forget, Ian's main business ain't motorcycle widgets and he did have a new, lebenty-lebben bazillion dollar machine delivered and not do it's claimed tricks. I think that has sucked up an inordinate amount of his time, too.

I understand how it feels to be on the ****** end of a sale, But this is different. Ian has contributed to ALL of us in so many ways as a pioneer in the aftermarket world for the FJR...

These are just a few of the items he has made for US.

Please be patient here... Ian will come through and make it right with everyone involved.

I will post the status that evening and let everyone know how far along we got, and whether all orders were fulfilled. He says things are getting back on track and we should be ready for his desired customer service levels to return soon. Well, he dontated about $1000 worth of stuff to WFO this year, and a bunch last year and did free installs. He designed a bunch of products specifically for the FJR that nobody else bothered to make, he created routes, maps and paperwork for the easiest SS1K ever for whoever wanted to partake, he...oh, were you joking?
