Small nail in my almost new rear tire, patch or replace?

Pulled a 1 inch by 5-8ths bolt out of my rear tire. actually used a ratchet and socket to undo it. Put in a plug and went riding. That was about 5000 kms ago.

Rob, I hope that's a typo and you meant 5/16"...... anyway, safest is a plug patch from the inside.

 
Patch it fron the inside or witha sticky string. Ive patched. 5 tires in the last 5 yearsband never had an issue. Only patch the rear and the more towards center the better

I kept it. I will find it and post a pic. And yes Ray I think 5/16th is more accurate.

Just used a string too.
