Duane(OHFJR) & I will be meeting "chivvalry"(name?) in Caldwell,Oh Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. and taking back roads to Lexington Ky and down to CFSP
Have you guys made plans where your staying? Moosehead and I are planning on SE Ohio on the trip down to hit up some of the roads on Thurs morning. It'd be cool to meet up with you guys.

Where are we staying??? Daune & I are riding down from the Cleveland area & Ken is riding down from the Pittsburgh area. The plan is to meet in Caldwell at the Pilot gas station at I77 & Rte 78 at 8:30 a.m. You guys could stay at the Best Western in Caldwell Wednesday night, it's next to the Pilot gas station. Then you could meet us for the ride down to CFSP Thursday morning.

Okay, got it, I'll see what I can get arranged. Pencil us in as a maybe. One of the guys were travelling down with works nights and it really depends on what time we pull out of Dodge as to where we'll end up for the night. But it's always easier if you have a destination.

Jeff, anyone flying through the good part of 58 early Thursday? We should be heading through by 9ish or so.
Sounds like LeeDavis will be along that route by mid-morning Thursday. The rest of us are traveling much sooner.
Thank you Jeff. I'm going to contact Lee & see if he'd like to join us for the ride in. I'd like to be coming out earlier. I FINALLY started a new job about a week ago. I'm lucky to be getting the time off that I'm getting. Not gonna' push my luck. lol!

Steve... COOL BEANS!

Cota95, exciter99 and myself are heading out early wednesday morning from RI. Not sure the route yet :clapping:
We're also meeting up with The Axeman in NJ and heading down with a combo of slab and backroad, with a stopoff at the Flight 93 memorial on Wednesday afternoon. Arrival in KY on Thursday afternoon.

Departing in abouit 7 hrs. and we hope to see you all on Wednesday afternoon. :yahoo: Let the fun begin.

Dave & Ann

WooHoo, good for you. :yahoo:
Thanks Greg! It was lonnnngggg overdue. Being dirt poor does not look good on me or my FJR. lol. I just pulled her out of the shed for the first time in MONTHS & gave her a once over. Air was really down in both tires.

So, I will see you when I roll in on Thursday afternoon.

I'm all packed, just need to throw it all on the bike tomorrow AM, 'Cept for about 6hrs of work tomorrow, cutting out at 3pm for points south, spending the night at Mssr. Mooseheads. Then onto SE Ohio, and finally Kentucky late Thurs afternoon. Apparently we'll have a couple of future FJR riders with us.

Checked Yamafitters spot and he's hold up in Elkins WV for the night.

I'm ready for a bunch of sittin', twistin' and grinnin'.

Heading up from the SC foothills Friday morning. Making a ride out of getting there. Something like:

If any fellow procrastinators wants to join up.....

I'll be heading out early on Wednesday AM and go southwest to Scranton, PA, then southwest across PA to visit the Flight 93 memorial, then head south and ride 219 through WV and hopefully reach Watoga State Park for a nice campsite Wednesday night. Then west to arrive at Cumberland Falls on Thursday afternoon. I know some of you will be in the same general area both days, so maybe I'll see you along the way.

Left yesterday morning for my sister's home in Geenville, TN. Skys where gray and overcast, but no rain, didn't find the rain untill a few miles East of Indy, so only the last 500 miles did I get rained on. Wasn't to bad nice steady rain not a gully washer. Altho I was singing an old Beatles tune in my helmet for the last 100 miles............"We all live in a yellow submarine.....yellow submarine.........yellow submarine".

Went though Louisville, best advice don't go there from Indiana. They only have one bridge across the Ohio River for all the traffic. They closed the other bridge at New Albany cause it's got some big cracks in it (that don't sound good).

Spent an hour and a half getting thourgh Louisville, plus the rain, managed to turn a 10 hour ride into 13. WooHoo.

Coming off the mountain into Knoxville, saw a couple of huge bluish green flashes. sheet lightning, never saw it that color before.....interesting.

So I'm in a hotel in PIgeon Forge, all dried out and getting ready to leave for Deals Gap,Then sis's house this afternoon.

Oh, an advisory for anyone on the road Friday...watch out for that falling satellite! Lol. The prediction was it could fall anywhere between northern Canada and South America, so that narrows it down just a bit. ;) Perhaps we'll have a light show at the lodge that night. :D

Patiently waiting for departure Friday morning....

Bringing my air mattress Mike, just in case. ;)

Bikes packed and sitting in the parking lot patiently waiting for 3pm.

I've never done this before, leaving from work that is. What a huge pain in the ***. Getting changed at work, etc. Throw into the mix this is shaping up to be the most boring day ever. It's not like I'm gonna change anything that will result in me getting a Call on the road. Which amounts to just about everything I do.

So, I sit. Type a message, and don't touch nuffin!

Steve, are you planning on meeting us in Caldwell, Oh. thursday morning?

I wish I could give you a firm answer, but I can't. We'll be somewhere in Ohio, most likely near the start of 556/26 (Clarington) if were not in Caldwell. If were there, you'll see us, if not, we'll see ya in Cumberland.

We did all of those roads east of Caldwell this past Sunday on the Ramble...you can easily kill a day in that part of SE Ohio...have fun if we don't see you in Caldwell.

I know and I'm jealous as ****. Unfortunately, were just hitting up the roads that are 'on the way'. Gotta take what/when you can get!

My group of 4 will be along the same route/same time and may see you. Look for 3 blue and a red...
