Lots of places with a loading dock and a ramp to drive forklifts and motorcycles up and down. Enjoy your visit.
Thanks Mike, I know I will enjoy CA even if it's only in the 60's...anything is better than here.

Ya know Gramps if you were to swing by my house up North we could unload it here. You and the Mrs. can head south and I'll be a few days behind you with your bike after doing a nice long ride to charge the battery for you. No need to thank me, it's the least I could do for a fellow north lander.
Ah that's awfully kind of you Dougie but how would you get back home?

If that option gets nicked, maybe we can meet in the middle somewhere.

That sounds like a plan, send me a pm once you get settled and we can work something out.

Dougie was planning on splitting rooms with you and the missus.
Wheatie is on the ball!

Neil, Fairlaner, and johnny80s are all in the area and I'm sure willing to lend a hand with the bike and some route information... some great roads out that way! If I was closer, I'd join ya... will be in the Paso Robles area the weekend of January 17-19... you're more than welcome to join in the fun if it fits your schedule.

https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php/topic/161319-sw-fjr-forum-death-valley-np-ride-117-119;-pahrump-nv/ Gramps: I would take an invitation from a beautiful Irish redheaded Lass over a fat old Irishman any day, but if you have never seen and ridden Death Valley National Park you are missing a truly scenic and wild wilderness area!

Thanks Don, I really wanted to do it all, but that happens to be the one weekend I have plans that I can not get out of.

I'll just have to see if I can make it over to Phoenix for a visit.

Amigo, mi Casa es su Casa. However, please do not bring Minnesota bad weather with you to Arizona ese. Henry-henwil spent last week at Casa Zonie del Stanley with us.

Damn it all if he didn't do a typical Specific NorthWet Mook bogus act of bringing his Seattle ******* rain with him, arrived in the rain on Tuesday-left in sunshine on Saturday!

Man this weather just won't leave me alone. A couple hours after pulling into to Denver and then it got familiar again.

Can't wait to leave this crap.

Been chilly out west last week but heat wave coming this week. Temps in the mid 70's for Socal forecasted.

You still have time to turn around and avoid any January sunburns.

You do know Marc, us frozen folks back here hate you. https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/****.gif

Have a great time out there bud.

Having done this multiple times before from bikes, go-karts to snowmobiles, I prefer the redneck method (if you have a 4x4 p/u that is).

Just put your back wheels into a small gully or drainage ditch. You'll be amazed at how your tailgate will come right down within inches (or more) to the ground. Drive on, drive off, this cheap ******* method works pretty darn well.

Have fun, and by the Vikings Stadium cam... I see it's in minus digits there in Minny, at least in 'apolis. Yikes! Glad you got outta town Gramps!

Hey if you're still around here next weekend and will be available, maybe you can join our IESTR group ride next Saturday. Watch for my thread which will be posted in this section shortly.

I know most of you have jobs & have to work during the week, but if anyone is free & wants to get out for a day ride I'm available after this weekend.

I'm in the Oceanside area, just PM me.
