Depends where you are. In VA it'll get you a ticket and a trip to the impound if they can't be readily removed.

I was looking at the short bed regular cab F150 recently, but decided to put the payments toward helping a daughter thru grad school. She's worth it. What I really would buy would be a NEW Ranger T6 with the suicide rear doors like yours and the photo below, IF Ford finally brings them into the US. They are sounding like this will happen in summer 2014.

They sure have sold a boatload of them overseas and worked out the teething issues. Heck we US taxpayers even bought a bunch of these for the Afghan cops!!!
