It's a little short notice (two weeks), but I'm thinking a little spin through Southwest Wisconsin and I'm looking for a level of interest. Anybody whos wants to go please post up.
What: A 300-400 mile "tour" of Southwest Wisconsin based out of the Dells.
Who: Anybody who wants to have some fun.
When: Saturday October 27th. People can show up Friday night and stay Saturday for a possible second route on Sunday or just show up the day of the Spin. Kickstands will be up around 8am.
Where: Start and Finish in the Dells.
Why the Dells? Well, Wisconsin is playing Michigan State at home on the 27th and all the hotel/motels around Madison are a rippoff. After a little preliminary search I found the the Blackhawk Motel. The rooms start at $59 and the reviews are great (Click & Click )Since a lot of places close for the season this month I checked around and there is a Perkins and a Famous Dave's for breakfast and dinner or there are a few other places too.
The only drawback to the Blackhawk is there is a $10 charge for cancellations after 72 hours before the reservation and one night's charge after 24 hours before. But I figure we should have a pretty good idea what the weather will look like before the 24 hour cutoff.
So, if we can get a few people who want to go, I'll keep working on this. Post up ASAP.
EDIT: The road through Wildcat is supposed to be open by the 22nd.
