Griff,

I was bored this afternoon so I took a band saw to your old tire.

You had about 5 millimeters of tire separating the inside air from the outside air.

What were you worried about?
5 whole millimeters griff. You had it made in the shade...you're such a worrywart!

I new I would regret not going, but it is what it is. Glad you guys had a great time.

See everyone next year.

Then why were you on my ass watching for the first signs of cord break through? Or maybe you just wanted a point of information to see how long I could ride on cords before I grenaded.

Nice report. Any construction changes to the fun section at Wildcat?

I have no idea why it was closed...because I did not see new pavement, nor did I see any utility trenches across the road, or any other evidences of construction. It still has the little bit of tire snakes on it from the last season...nothing bad...but not creamy smooth like when they put down the new pavement a couple years ago. ;)

BTW, Wildcat was totally open, so was The Cut. So no 4 wheeled or two wheeled blockers. It was a great riding day...not just because of that, but because it was open everywhere and rode some new roads that I will definitely add to the repertoire. Big breakfast in the morning, great burgers at the burger bar in the Dells. The Dells jumpoff point wasn't too bad actually. I thought there would be too much flat and straight and it turned out pretty good. Plus, it was only 3 hours from Wheaton on a cold Friday night after work...on a plugged tire.

Tire plug held up great. No Nevada speeds on this trip, but I was not concerned in the least. George/escape and I are old Ohio Ramble buddies. Tire plugging is a mandatory minimum skill when riding imo.

Griff & I went up a little earlier than Wheatie and took the long way.

Lunch at Baumgartner's in Monroe, WI.

Cheese & Veggie Soup.

The Three Amigos Suite. ;) We stuck Wheatie in the middle of the Griff, 0face sandwich. Mistake! He proceeded to extract revenge by snoring equally loud at both of us. :(

Griff's Tire. As you can see, he rode all the way to the red warning stripe. That's not from doing a burnout getting the bike onto Mark's lift.

It was a PR3. Didn't look bad in Friday. What's weird about them is when they look like they have about 1K left on them it's really about 300.

Not supervising...

...just staying the hell away from the tools. Who knows what damage I could have done if I got my hands dirty. No...decided to stick to something safe like FJR riding...

What happened to that tire?...
Griff is the burnout king...that's what happens to his tires. ;)
