Friends,

I'm looking for a spare set of wheels that I can set up with fresh rubber, for quick parking-lot style wheel/tire changes.

I don't have time to follow e-Bay too closely.

Is there a salvage yard, or a seller of good used parts that I should know about? Is there someone on this forum that has a set to unload?

Just need to be pointed in the right direction.

PD

Peter purchased a wrecked 2005 FJR a few weeks back..... I was inquiring about the same FJR... After months being listed with no interest, the FJR sold almost at the same time I found the bike and placed an inquiry. Turns our the ******* who purchased the bike right under my nose was Peter!!! :p

Apparently the 08 wheels will not fit my 07.

The eBay 2005 wheels interest me but the seller wiil only ship within the USA. I am only a few hours from the border. Does anyone live near Port Huron, MI or Buffalo, NY that would be willing to receive and hold the wheels until I can drive down and pick them up???? Should be able to pick them up within a few weeks.

Thanks

Be careful.... if you need wheels for an ABS, you need to specify when talking about an '05. Also be aware you can get a new rear for $360 at Ron Ayers (was $325 in November). Been looking myself........

But that $360 doesn't include rotors, bearings, spacers, and any other stuff needed and that will drive up the cost significantly.

Yep.....found that out..... to do a quick wheel changeout you need all the "other" bits and pieces.... adds up fast! I have been able to source several of the parts used which is helping drive the cost down...
