Best of luck.

I've lost count of how many I've had over the past 19 yrs. All in my low back L4 & L5.

I had two Docs tell me I needed surgery in 1997, my 3rd opinion gave me 50/50 chance it might work. I got 3 shots within 9 months and since then everytime I screw up and hurt it again. Last one was 2yrs ago.

The first shots I had hurt like hell and I'm a firm believer the one giving them makes a big difference.

Since my last shot the bottom of right foot has become numb but I'm without pain otherwise. I suspect I'll be under the knife one day, hopefully before I'm too old to get it fixed.

I'm 58 and on no meds.

Good luck again and hope it fixes you for a long time.

I always find it interesting hearing other people's back and pain issues. Good to hear some surgeries worked too. Also, due to obamacare i cant see my usual doctor that help me in the past, so 1st hand experience of this screwed up HC law.

Without quoting I have a couple of questions.

SacramentoMike, what kind of doctor worked on your foot pain? Ive seen a Orth. who says manage with meds, not in pain enough to cut on. He also denied my numb foot is back related. Saw a Nero., said pinched nerve in back but also sent me to a Podiatrist. He put a heel spacer in my shoe which help my back but hurt my hip, also moved the numness to right of where it was.

Hudson- have you got more info on this $400. bench.

Hey, Ray, if you can take a valium before the shot it might help.

Hopefully this doc is gentle. I told them I wanted to be as comfy as possible so they are going to put me in la-la land for the shots. Starting with my neck tomorrow and working down next week.

Keepin' good thoughts for ya Ray

FUBARed again. Got there this morning and was checked in, had the cool gown on and all set for the IV and the nurse informed me that I was 1 pound over their weight spec so the procedure was cancelled. I felt like telling her to wait while I took a **** but they probably wouldn't have seen the humor.

Now I'm scheduled for Thursday with a different place and again a week after that for the lower back. I guess I shouldn't be surprised cause it's taken from 92 until now to get something done.

Patience my *** I'm gonna kill something.

It's obvious the legal department is running health care. I vented as much as I thought I dared and they had me walked out. With any luck Thursday will be a winner.

Ray,

I feel like punching the doctor right in the nose for that ********.

That's good news. Did the local give you immediate relief? When I had my elbow done, the doc told me there was some anesthetic in the Cortizone he was injecting. He told me I'd feel good initially, but it would get a "little" painful in a couple hours. He stuck the needle in my arm, and it was awesome. First time in months I was pain free. Gawd, that felt GOOD.

Then I left and went to work. Holy **** balls Batman...3 hours later, I was driving along Central Ave. and my arm started to throb. By the time I had gone 4 blocks, my heart beat in my arm felt like I was getting hit with a hammer. That only lasted about 2 hours, and then I was good.

I hope you skip the crappy part and just go to being good!
