I have had very good luck with Q3's on my R1 both on the street and track days. Very good life as well. Also run the Q3 on the rear of my VMax. VERY sticky tire and great tread life on that bike as well.... ANd it EATS rears for lunch
I'll second this. I did 4 track days and 1000 street miles on a set of Q3s last year and their not done yet. Exceptional performance and good wear. Save the ST tires for the ST bike.

FJRMGM, Everybody believes. The great thing about this country is the freedom to choose what we believe. Enjoy those Arkansas roads with the new tires.

Just about anything but Metzlers. Sheesh!!
Zilla I'm curious. My bike came with Z6s which I got 11,500 mi out of with still a little life left before I swithched them out for the Z8s which I think are better than the 6s but I have nothing to compare them with. Is there anything specific about the Metzlers you don't like? Please enlighten.

I had a set of Q3's on my Busa (190/55) and they were great but didn't make it much past 3300 miles of street use by a heavy handed pilot that was 2up most of the time.

Busa is alot heavier and a Ron more torque so I'd imagine they'd be great on your much lighter buke.

I switched to a set of Pirelli Angels and like them alot as well - had fellow Busa pilots report over 8k miles on a rear tire.

I've put q3's on the Street Triple R for the last couple of tire changes and really like them. They stick like they're on rails and great for street/track day combo tires. But they don't last too long. I have previously used Pirelli Diablo Sport tires (Cyclegear runs a front/rear tire combo frequently on them) on the StripleR and even used them on trackdays (C group) and they were fine. Stick but lasted much longer than the Dunlops.

don't believe I ever posted that I decided upon Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S-20 and now have them mounted.

Very pleased with them as far as confidence and handling. The front is sooooo much stickier than the old one it feels like I put different brakes on the bike..

Not Metzelers? I guess that Guy Martin is not that fast so those tires must suck, LMAO
Haha...I'm sure he isn't running the same pieces of junk available at MC shops. I have never had good luck with Metzlers. Maybe just bad QC.

I recently put one on the rear and it leaked due to a label. Then I had it taken off and was going to save it to throw back on and destroy later, but the rubber was peeling off the bead. I'm kind of glad I took it off when I did. It felt fine and wasn't wearing badly, but the quality of the build was questionable.
