I have been waiting to take care of the engine noise problem before I installed the Wilbers front springs and rear shock. Now that its in to get a ticker fix seems like a good time whild the bike is down. Yamaha dealer gave me a break on hours so I am going to let them do it while its down. Plus I get a free oil change and radiator flush and refill. Its the little things that make me happy! Where is the best instructions for remote preload so they can get the preload mount right and shock install? Plus how long does it take to change the rear out and the front springs if you drain and flush front forks? :D :D :D I'm a happy camper now.

yea got that one already on paper. Anyone else on the mounting of the preload?
the preload control mounting instructions came with the rear shock. it goes between the subframe and the passenger foot bracket.

The preload controller gets mounted on the RIGHT side, as you sit on the bike. The factory 2 speed adjuster is mounted on the LEFT side. It matters to me because my AV CC100 servo is mounted on the left side behind the bag.

I would suggest a second set of hands to help guide the preload adjuster through the frame. You can do it by yourself but it's easier with two. Also, I wrapped the preload adjuster with some leftover bubblewrap and rubber bands to avoid dinging it up. Same for the hi/lo compression adjuster if you have that option.
