Thanks, Marc. We'll be heading to Wabasha, and then over the river into the hills. Probably get to Wabasha somewhere around noon to 12:30. I know you'll be prepping for Saturday, but feel free to join us if you can.

If not, and Mother Nature quits being a hag, I'll hook up with you guys Saturday. Thanks, Marc!
I just may do that. PM your cell# in case I make it down there.

Update

Carl/griff has been battling the flu/cold that seems to be going around everywhere & had to back out. I think Marty is still planning in coming up from Chicago. I know that if the weather in crap Saturday that most will not want to ride, I guess I'll make that call Friday night sometime. Anyways, I would like to invite all of you to my place tomorrow (Friday) night around 6pm for a pre-ride meet & greet, I'll have food & beverages. PM me if you are going to come so I can get a head count & I'll send you my address here in Mendota Heights, a few of you already know about this so no need to respond. Keep your fingers crossed for Saturday.

Gramps,

Unless the weather sucks.. I will be there.

MN Carlson,

Haven't decided which ride I will be on..... BTW, say hi to Patrick for me. Think I saw him at the M/C show but not sure if it was him.

My wheels these days:

If I am on my Gixxer.. I will surely run in the fast group..

If I am on my Vic.... Well.. Who knows. ;)

:angry2:

I think I will be passing on the ride today, the monsoon is almost over up here butt it continues all the way to Hastings

For those that do go have fun catch ya at CFO, this should give me time to register anyway :yahoo:

Yeah the weather has really gone to **** so I've made an executive decision & we'll delay our meet up time for a noon start at the Hastings Perkins.

Looks like 'the blob' is carrying off the the east! May see some isolated stuff but I think it will be very doable pretty soon. Just have to take it easy on the wet roads.

This gives me time to return something to Motoprimo.

It does look like the rain should be out of here by noon, maybe some intermittent stuff to the southeast. I think everyone has pretty much made other plans, justifiably so. So about the only thing Marty & I'll be doing is going for lunch somewhere after all the rain has moved out. At least most were able to make it last night which was a good time. Thanks for hanging in & trying. I'll maybe try to organize another ride yet this year.

Yup, you've got the whole route planned out so we just need to develop a date for the future... thanks Marc!

I hear a few people made it to breakfast in the morning... I rode out for lunch there and you know it's a cold ride when the FJR refuses to register more than one bar on the temp gauge until you've been riding for ten miles. It was dry on the way there, then soaked on the way home, discovered the limits of 'water resistant' of the fabric sections of my jacket.

34 degrees, cloudy and a stiff 20+ mph wind out of the NW at 6:50am this morning. Marty was ready to head back to Chicago and Joe, Mark & myself joined him for the first 100 miles or so. I sure hope things got better for you Marty, because it sure didn't improve much by the time I got back home around 1:00. Only a 4 degree rise in the temp, not a pleasant day to ride but a ride accomplished just the same. :D Thanks for coming up Marty I had a great time.

When I got home, the first thing I did was search the internet for heated gear! (with the space heater under the desk on HIGH)

BbbRrrr!

Made it out from under. Sun came out! It only got about fifty but it beat this morning for sure.

Thanks again Gramps and great meeting everyone.

Another good ride...sure beats doing yardwork! Joe is now the toughest guy I know. He rides in low 30 temps with just a jacket and a t-shirt!

I'd like to say thanks to Marc for having us over on Friday, it was good meeting other riders (even though I had to sit alone at the Honda table.)

And thanks to Marc, Marty and Joe for staying in 2nd gear so I could keep up!

Regards,

Mark

PS...PM me if you feel like riding.
