I always make my copilot drive when we're in Miami. Crazy traffic.I vote for Miami. That's right, Miami. They seem to have their own state down there. "Florida laws?! We don't need no steenkeen Florida laws. We make our own"!! They are the worst!
Miami seems to be the climax to the "rudeness marathon" that starts at the south county line of Martin County on 95 or US1 and goes clear to Monroe County just above the keys. You can't escape it either, Military Trail and Jog Rd are as bad or worse. South Florida is where I learned never to use turn signals, it gives the jerks too much of an advantage.I vote for Miami. Dave Barry has had numerous humorous comments on the state of drivers down there.I vote for Miami. That's right, Miami. They seem to have their own state down there. "Florida laws?! We don't need no steenkeen Florida laws. We make our own"!! They are the worst!
Who knew? California a red state? LOLIn my observation I believe California ranks right up there in the top 5. Especially because of the propensity for self appointed *** holes to drive just below the speed limit in the passing lane. Then they do it in other states as well. It is better than an even bet that when you run up on a vehicle "lane patrolling" in the west there will be a California plate on it. If I were a LEO I would stop and cite every damn one of these idiots. I'd have no trouble "making my quota"!
I agree. California drivers more often than not, go out of their way to let a motorcycle by. Try that in the east, and you'll be wearing a grill.I'll come to the defense of Cali drivers here. Boneheads camping in the fast lane are by no means limited to my home state. I've sure seen plenty so far in my cross-country trip (written from Buffalo NY. I suppose because many of them are used to it, it's very common for California drivers to move over and make extra room for an approaching lane-splitting motorcycle. And when on the many fun motorcycle roads we've been blessed with, drivers frequently move aside or even pull over when overtaken by one or more faster-moving riders. Haven't seen that as often anywhere else.
+1, Gunny; I am 100% with SacramentoMiguel observations, I feel that Californians are the most courteous to Motorcyclists! JSNS!I'll come to the defense of Cali drivers here.
