Turned 50 last summer, 5'10" and 200 lbs. wearing 33X34 pants.

I tried to enter middle age gracefully, and didn't like it. So I got out the free weights and moved my bulk up to my shoulders.

Have every intention of riding until I'm old and fat!

Yep...old. I am not to heavy for my height....I'm too short for my weight.

I'm not out of shape...ROUND is a shape.

One day I hope to be able to actually the capabilties of my FJR, like Niehart does.

I have a few buddies that harass me continually that FJR owners/riders are old fat people. I take a little offense as I'm neither. However, I am curious where the majority of FJR owners fall. Want to help me prove or disprove the stereotype? Please be honest if taking the poll.

I look 81 feel 41, so I'm 61, could still fit in my service uniform. Plus my wife says with pride, she can still wear the same earrings she wore in high school.

I'm not so fat that my front wheel won't come off the ground and can out rider 75% of the younger squids that I usually ride with.

But I've calculated that if I dropped to the weight that I should be, I would gain an equivalent of 20 HP. (HP to Weight ratio). Can't get that much HP out of a power commander.

I am a skinny old guy and still enjoy a fast spirited ride. In my mind I still think young, but a look in the mirror tells me the truth. I will turn 70 this summer and don't have any plans to quit riding for the next ten years at least. My wife is apparently bothered a little with my age, because she told me the other day that if I was going to get another bike I should get with it.
