I think that the likelihood of needing a weapon while riding is probably directly proportional to your preparedness and hence the risk becomes self fulfilling along with the [SIZE=12pt]commensurate dangers.[/SIZE]

Since I wouldn't attend a gun fight, or a knife fight unprepared, my lack of preparation will really encourage me to avoid one all together.

Back in the 70's , Someone sold handlebar grip with a blade inside handlebar. Held on by sping steel on inner bar. Had about 3 in. doublesided blade. Guess it was popular with hells angels. Was sold in back ads of biker mags.
