.....and that's coming from a chick.
Yeah, But it's a chick that has had Jeff work on her bike while wearing his bedroom slippers!!.....and that's coming from a chick.
Oh jeez, not that again! In Jeff's defense I think that his footwear is referred to as "house shoes". Jeff, did me clarifying that help?Yeah, But it's a chick that has had Jeff work on her bike while wearing his bedroom slippers!!.....and that's coming from a chick.
You ought to do this before WFO, thereby guaranteeing that you'll not ride first! "I ain't ridin' behind no noisy bike!"You drilled holes where, exactly? Pictures???
If I cared what other people thought, I'd be what they want me to be - not what I am...Thanks Orient, It's no wonder that other forums refer to this forum as a bunch of old ladies with knitting needles!!
What Roadhammer did was tried to improve the sound of his bike, not open the sucker up so everyone would know he has a small ***** and wants attention!!

So your saying that Roadhammer has a small ***** and wants attention? Ok, so how do you know this? :rofl:What Roadhammer did was tried to improve the sound of his bike, not open the sucker up so everyone would know he has a small ***** and wants attention!!
Not all of us.roadhammer,
Just an FYI here.
The people who hang out on this forum have a real distaste for the "loud pipe" thing..
+1 the pipes the JFR arent bad but they remind me of techno rock of the 80's; lacks a certian depth of soundNot all of us.
"Harley straight pipe" loudness sucks. But a sweet sounding motorcycle is a thing of beauty. Face it, the stock FJR is a little south of sweet... needs a little help.
My question is, what does this do to preformance? I though these bikes were engineered to have the proper back presure.fwiw I have been trying to come up with an idea for improving the sound from my stock cans. I measured the inside of the can back to the baffle. it is right at 12 inches. With this in mind I went to Home Depot, tools area and purchased a 7/16 diameter by 12 3/16 inch drill bit. By placeing the drill to give me as much lenght advantage I was able to drill one hole per muffler. Listen to the sound and ride a bit. The sound had improved and was very mellow. After riding a bit decided to go for two holes per can. Sound is louder but not overly so. I am pleased with outcome. Just wanted to share the moment. It beats spending $200.00 plus for the UK mod. Cheers !!!
Not nearly all of us. In fact there's quite a few with aftermarket slip-ons and such. And not all of us subscribe to the "All The Gear All The Time" thing either. There just happens to be a very vocal percentage who make it seem that way.The people who hang out on this forum have a real distaste for the "loud pipe" thing..
