My "Harley Guy Here.." thread was taken off the forum. I did a search thinking it might have been moved but it doesn't come up anywhere. There was a lot of good information on that thread I was refering to for my FJR. I wonder what rule was violated?

Once the topic has evolved to the point where it continues without functional input, it will often end out in NEPRT. Not to say that there was anything wrong to begin with but this is the place where some threads go to die or continue with a new life of their own. Nobody's dumping on you and your thread is still alive and well!

OK, but why didn't it come up in a search for "Harley"? I must be using that search engine incorrectly.

If you type +Harley or even just Harley in the search box in the forum "root", your threads come up just fine. If you are in a sub-forum, the search only applies to that area.

OK! I found the original thread. Thanks all, I asked a question on using the center stand and there are some great replies.

And might have done the search in the sub-forum, I don't remember. But I will be more careful next time.

Mods, you can delete this thread as it has served it's usefulness.

Beary,

After you put in the search terms that you want here, there is a box between the "magnifying glass" icon and your terms. Click on that box, and select (all) "Forums," or "This Topic" (only), or whatever applies. "Harley" in "This Topic" would find your #4 post in this thread. Check the (All) "Forums" button, to find every post with "Harley." For your posts only, add "Beary" in your search terms.

You can use Google search from your browser to search for your terms, on just this one site. Add SITE: after your terms, then the URL of the site to be searched, like this:

Harley Beary site:https://www.fjrforum.com

Google will search here only, then. This SITE: trick works for any website that you want Google to search, without going all over the internet.

Cheers,

Infrared

Hilarious!!!

Plug "harley beary site:https://www.fjrforum.com" into Google's search box and watch what comes up!!!

If you're uninterested in doing the Google version of the search, simply click HERE for the Google result.

Then, scroll down to post # 5. It's STILL killing me!!!!
