Nice and warm today, and I haven't had a chance to scuff up the side of the new front tire yet, so I scooted up to Suches and unlimbered the camera. Lots of leaf-peepers, as was to be expected. After an hour or so I headed up 60 until I got lost (on purpose) and set the GPS for home.

This guy did nothing but run up 129 from Turner's Corner to Blood Mountain. Here's 8 times he passed me- and those are just the ones where I had the camera out.

I'd make that face too if I had that helmet and no wind protection:

Nice footwear!

On a serious note, I have a hard time keeping my foot positioned over the pedal when heeled over, due to broken femurs and torn tendons and what not. I see this guy does too.

My favorite of them all. If you see a fellah like this.. stay far, far away. He can outcorner you all day long is not afraid to toss it away. Minimal bike damage, and just a scuff on the levis...

Canon 20D / Sigma 50-500. Need a camera with a bigger frame buffer, but the 1D is a bit out of my price range while I'm saving for a 5D MkII.

i love blood mountain.

Sweet. Just sold my 10D and have been shooting with a 40D for the last year. It's a great camera, fast buffer too. I'm thinking that with the release of the 50D you can get some great deals on 40d's.

Don't want to hijack the thread....

Great pictures! Perhaps one day if it is ok with you I'd like to get some advice on getting some nice action pictures.

Take care.

Nice pictures Ed, I took a few on Thursday but they were all of the scenery. Thanks for sharing with us and we need to get together for another ride soon.

Ed,

Great pictures! Glad you could share them with us. Makes me want to go out this weekend while the weather is still nice.

Don,

I'm inclined to agree with ya. A couple of years ago I rode with a guy on his 04 FJR in the hills near Alice's. I was on my Ascot thumper, it seemed like the tighter the road the further back he got. Man that Ascot could lean in a turn! I miss the thing. :dribble:

Pictured is me - in another life, with my canyon carver. :yahoo:

Ed...Man, what great pictures. Thanks for taking them and posting. Couple of comments. Pic number 110108-18 looks like an overgrown man on an undersized bike! Although I agree with you on the Halloween mask, I still kinda like it. It's one of those weird things I guess that makes me laugh out loud. I think I'll try to find one on the net and send it to my Harley ridin' brother! He'd love it! Again, great pics and thanks!!!
