It is a statistical FACT that 1/2 of the worlds population is under average intelligence. Keep that in mind when talking to people. There is a 50/50 chance they are a Dee-Dee-Dee.

Most people, it seems, are just too stupid to realize they hate us, it's only after counseling like that displayed in the commentary that they realize that not only did they make the right decision in hitting a biker, it was inevitable. :angry: :glare:

Scary to think that we're sharing the road with some of the drivers sharing the following thoughts:
"I can appreciate someone riding a motorcycle as transportation if that is all they can afford, however, Harleys are (for some reason) expensive and therefore don't qualify as a necessary means of transportation."
"Ford Explorers aren't that big, so I am sure that even if the guy was hit by a regular car he'd have been killed."
"we need to revoke the law that allows motorcyclists to ride between the lanes of cars, since it's no longer 1920 and most bikes now have sophisticated cooling systems that prevent them from overheating (the original intent of the law)."
And easily winning the award as biggest a-hole jackass of the day:
"I get a good laugh whenever I see a downed motorcyclist on the freeway because there's about a 99% chance they are at fault and riding recklessly. I feel more sorry for the poor driver that has to live with the fact that they take out one of these morons."

Like many of you, testing has proved I have above average intelligence even though I personally doubt the results . Maybe I just test well. Please tell me the above stat is BS...thats just too frikin scary !

without actually commenting on the igorance of the public at large, or on the circumstances of the accident, I can only say that if he was already leaned for a turn and panic braked before sitting up. . . . I've seen it, and I've almost done it.
I've gotten to where I go the "long way" to get to my own house. My neighborhood is a cul-de-sac, hundred of homes behind ONE intersection, a T on a major road, with just a stop sign. It's difficult to turn left out of there, and people get impatient waiting for a break. Apparently an approaching bike instead of a car counts as such a break, and I've had to take avoiding action while turning left onto my street more often than I can say, either braking or swerving. My almost-drop after stopping happened there. I now go around another way so I enter my street with a right turn.
I've read that 95% of drivers think they are above average. :blink:

BTW if four people had IQs of 20, 100, 100, and 100 then their average IQ would be 80, making 25% of the population below average.

The link just goes to prove that trolls exist everywhere.
We have many of those news 'forums' extending from news services here in Oz. The trolls love 'em, and stir the pot at every chance.
We have a particular guy here in Perth, who's catch cry is "Motorbikes should be fitted with lap belts and front number plates, that will reduce the injuries!"

NO, that's not true!
99.999999999% of driver's think they are wonderful.
If you doubt this statistics which I just made up, try and VERY POLITELY TRY to tell anyone that possibly they might make a minor correction or two in their driving techniques.... And the worse the driver, the more they insist they are "good drivers" .That just means they aint' killed no one yet.
I taught driver's ed for four years... my sons (they're 22 and 25) yell at me about my driving and i have to live up to their standards...
sheese.. getting old aint' for sissies...
