Quick-I just registered for real last night...wasn't 100% sure I could go until then. Hotel has been booked for months. Consider me there (meaning in the peanut gallery, drinking donated beer).

I'm good as far as the sync goes. But if you could throw in a new top end to get rid of my tick, that would be appreciated :moil:

And whoever else jumps in line before people get boring and wander off to dinner.

Looks like there will be plenty of experience around, in the peanut gallery. :D

Brent, I was FIRST in line. I was hoping that I could be the test subject. I'll be paying attention to when this will begin. See you in 1 week,

Heidi
Heidi was indeed the first to request a TBS @ EOM...put her ahead of me.

I didn't realize that you had aquired a tick. Sorry to hear that. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Howdy Mike!, It'll be great to ride with ya' again.

Also, put a post in the main EOM section about your wish for a room. There will surely be someone who backs out & you can claim their room. Also, heard of someone making a reservation there 2 days ago. Travis was in touch w/ the hotel less than a month ago & they had 11 rooms open still... although there is some hometown sports even going on & the out of town team is snatching rooms up.

Be careful on the way down. Will see you 1 week fr/ now.

Heidi

BTW... here is the text from 2 days ago:

JWilly, I just booked my room 2 days ago at the High Country Inn and they were the same price as the block of rooms which were reserved until the 7th. Give them a call, I'm sure I didn't get the last one.

Not really sure when to do it.If there are only a half dozen or so, maybe we can plan for Friday before dinner time.

Like 6:00 to 7:00 time frame. Just look for an FJR in the parking lot with the tank up.

ME, ME, ME tooooooo!!!

Luv2ride- Oops, you misunderstood. What I meant to say was I've had the room booked for months. I had always planned on going; work almost unexpectedly killed it. But, I'm pretty much set at this point, 'cept for prepping the bike.

Friday evening sounds like a good time. I was thinking about how we would schedule this session. Thanks for doing that.
I was planning to bring only the gauge but if you think we'll need other tools let me know and I'll bring whatever is needed.
OK, I packed up a small set of tools to go with the gauge. I don't have a small torque wrench so we'll have to share yours.

I am really looking forward to getting on the road. The weather has been so lousy around here lately that I have only been using my bike for commuting.

Just a couple tips for people wanting to have their bike done.

1. Don't fill up the tank right before, and don't have it running on vapors either.

1/4 tank to 3/4 tank makes the job easier and much less likely to have a spill.

If you have less than 1/8 tank, the bike might not run with the tank is tipped back.

2. Don't pull into the parking lot will a blistering hot engine and expect to find any volunteers that want to put their hands on it.

The engine doesn't need to be cold, just cool enough to bump knuckes against.

Looks like the weather will be cooperating nicely. A 15-20 minute cool down will probably be plenty.

We actually have to warm it back up to make the fine adjustments.

The order might just be organized by coldest engine first.

So, Heidi needs to be on time. :p

Oh no, you can't escape now. :) :)

I thought the grand prize was a set of slightly used MEZ6's.

Quick, I can help with the TBSs. Sounds like there are two gauges coming and I can toss in a few select tools of transportable size from my MX set. My gauge is mercury or I would bring it too.

Maybe I can bring the rubber-sniffing dog to fetch those jumping nipple caps!

:D

I would most assuredly like to have the sync done. It's an item I've wanted to do but have been skeered to do it on my own, so I havn't purchased the items to do it with yet. I arrive on thursday (maybe wed.) and will be there with less than half a tank and a cooling engine on Friday.

Thank you, thank you, thank you verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry much :yahoo:

Right right... gotcha'. Well, I'll see you in a few days. I'll definitely be able to find you in that yellow 'stitch.

Really Travis? Kewl! I was just sitting here hemming & hawing over doing it today since I've never done it before. That would be wondermous! Ok, I'll stow them in my bags right now.
