Yeah Jeff... cough, cough, cough... like, I'm pretty sure that I can dig up some hemostats. You want me to pass... uh, I mean bring, em?

Oh Mr. Axe, I hope that I'm not overstepping boundaries... but there was a taker of the carbtune job prior to Haulin' Ashe. (See post #9). Poor trooper needs that thang. He's tired of the merc stik that's a "no traveler".

Whatever I need to do to watch and get mine done. I am there!!! I am pretty mechanically inclined but I have to watch it first. I have tools too, just tell me what to bring. Sorry kitchen sink is staying home!

WOOOO WHOOO I am excited. I am blowing off a race for this event. But I don't care, this only comes once a year and I missed last years! :yahoo: Is it time yet?

I'm hoping so Aviator.

To whom that it may concern: If this gets set in stone as an event, please let Jim or me know so that it can get added to the events schedule. Keep in mind that Saturday is already booked between rides, dinner & door prize giveaway. I strongly suggest to plan it Friday or Sunday. The group bike pic is scheduled for 6:30 Friday evening. It seems that we could push that time around a little.

Any ideas or suggestions?

sweet, even before I saw this thread I was wondering about mine. I'll help out however I can, so long as I can get er done. I'll supply the beer refills to the workers.

I ordered the carbtune last week so it should be available for use at EOM to someone who actually knows what they are doing.

I'll give ya a hand with that E1!! I've seen Luvtoride and Slappy drinking, it really is a 2 person job!! :yahoo:

Heyyyyyy, I resemble that remark!

I was informed that Mr. Pop won't be drinking at this year's festivities. Wish I could say the same. NOT!

I'll help out and can bring all the tools needed for one "bay", except the sync tool itself. Mine is huge and I'm afraid it will leak mercury. If someone else can commit to bringing their carbtune, or another one that you feel you can carry without leaking) and either you or another gracious soul to split tear down/sync one person and reassembly for the other, it should be quick to roll through several bikes in that "bay". But we also have to do mine

Soo...what time and day is this going to be--sorry if I missed it?

I vote Sunday 4-6. Reasoning, most will probably want to come in early after riding hard for a few days and drink some beer by 4:00 :)

Sunday is too late for me. I want to be packed and rolling out Sunday afternoon.

I vote for Friday or Saturday at the latest.

Jeff, trying not to schedule anything else on Saturday. We have dinner/prize giveaway on Saturday night starting at 6:30. The time window left between afternoon rides ending & dinner time beginning Saturday evening will be left open. Perhaps Friday late afternoon/early evening while there is plenty of light is going to be best?

I realize that not everyone may get accomodated. Let's take a vote. Either time is fine for me... soooo, how about I put up a pole & let's vote? I'll leave it open to discussion/voting for 2 weeks. How's that sound?

Heidi,

I'm not voting in the poll since I won't need one. But I will bring my Carbtune and be happy to assist others.

I cast my vote. I think I could use one, as she's not as smooth as she once was.

Thanks,

B)

I casted my vote and it looks like Friday is winning out.

I would like to have mine done as well and would it be OK to do a Spark plug change at the same time or not?

What do I need to bring?

Plugs, of course, but what tools and is there anything else that is a consumable?

I am willing to assist in any way possible.

Thanks,

Mark

I haven't seen where to vote, but Friday would be great. That way we can test it all weekend.

Once again, I will do anything to help to get mine done and as many people as possible. If you tell me to go and buy a "tuner tool" I will.

I have been meaning to buy a Carbtune and would love to see how this is done. wow, I get to ride, drink and learn some mechanical stuff at the same time...well, OK, not AT the same time but....

I voted for Friday, assuming I can wait that long. I may have to do asap as I'm getting progressively more vibration.

Please educate me, does an out of synch TB show up as handlebar vibration which gets progressively worse the higher you run the rpm range? As in when running hard in the twisteez? My bike was glass smooth for the first 2K miles, not so at 8.5K.

I'm still game for being a tech. Again, will bring all tools-except the sync tool itself, for one "service bay". Would appreciate an assistant to make things easier. Will try to make it back from riding by 4:00 Friday to begin the session.

If you want yours done, please be kind and have your tank bag, seat, and black plastic tank side covers removed prior to the session. Also, be kinder and keep my glass full of cold beer! :coolsmiley:

So who can CONFIRM they are bringing a sync tool for this "bay", and who can CONFIRM they can assist? No sync knowledge needed...mainly there to hand me tools, keep track of bolts, and harass the owner to keep the beer coming for us?
