Tommy - it's looking like Bust's kids are moving in and moving out, so don't count on having a bed in the house. We should know more as we get closer to the date. If you wanna camp in the sheep pen out back, there is room. Knowing our track record from previous Tech Days, though, it'll probably snow. There may be room to throw down a sleeping bag in the basement. For food and whatnot, when Sooze rides up with me, we all chip in on the food. When she follows me up in her car, she makes stuff and brings it along. And we still chip in. Extrememarine usually makes some food and brings it over. Owosso is more of a "Budweiser town" and not so much of a craft-beer-snob town. Being a craft-beer-snob myself, it is a burden I have to bear. So I just drink the Canadian's beer and whiskey. Unless Sooze drives. Then I load up a cooler and drink the Canadian's beer and whiskey.
If you wanna dig in to some maintenance on your bike, post up what you wanna do. If need be, you can have parts shipped to Bust's place ahead of time. I'm not sure who's gonna be doing what to their bikes, but it's looking like there will be at least one valve check - AllenC wants to do the valves on his '14. If you wanna hang out and observe, drink beer, and laugh at my mechanical ineptitude, that's fine as well. Just don't turn your back on the Canadians - they'll throw a bookcase at you when you're least expecting it. The *******s.
I live in Marysville and work in Westerville - the office is maybe 5 minutes from the Iron Pony. If ya wanna meet up so you can put a face with a name, lemme know.

So that's explains why I run out of beer on Saturday afternoon, then hafta drink that pony piss they call beer on that side of the border......... but I hear there's a new item on the agenda, for all the curious, test rides on a nice blue 2016 that we're hoping gets delivered to the owner in the next few weeks!!

That's funny GEEK. I bought my bike at Honda of Marysville. It was a cold ride back to Pats-Alaska the last day of January.

Since there are sheep out back I take it this is a country house?
My bike only has 2700miles. I'll probably be between basic maintenance intervals. Any new toys will probably be on before I leave. No need to get work done there. Just a really good time to learn as much as possible.
I could be down to meet up some time.

Alright, I'll buy a gasket and O-rings for my valve check. If I don't need the gasket, it can go in the spare parts bin for the next person.
I stayed away from the valve checks before, but I'm assuming this can be done in a reasonable amount of time. I'm told that I want this to be a day trip. I also have to factor in the time for Ray to go on his "What the hell was done to this bike?" rant. I'm assuming the last guy who touched it made a mess somehow. I know he broke my cruise control and I had to replace that (thanks Wayne). Maybe while stuff is all pulled apart, I can tighten up the cruise control cable on the throttle.
My guess is if Nick talks himself in to that Triumph Sprint GT, I'll be wiring up his bike with accessories and trusting the guys with my bike. I'm unable to offer any mechanical assistance, but I'm happy to assist in the electrical department.

Ray, could you bring that CCT as I'd like to replace mine.
Also need whatever saw, cut-off bit, grinder, or whatever may needed to remove the bolts neccessary for lubing the suspension linkages.

I think that's unlikely, so feel free to solicit other work, or watch mechanical people work on your bike (I plan to enjoy watching it be not me doing mechanical work on your bike for a change!)

No fear, If I can make it I would bringing the ES.
I have been off the board for 5 years and want to catch up with a few of you guys.
FYI, the 05 is not quite that bad, all the parts are sorted and bagged and photo'd, just too many other projects on the go, particularly the Gear Up teaching and have I put 60,000 km on the Versys, however the deal with D is that the 05 has to go by the end of the year so look out for a rebuild thread.

My '07 was purchased right around the corner in Arnprior....... maybe I'll have to make a nostalgia visit and bring a tool box for a tech vacation on the shores of the big river?
BTW, the only thing I ride to Owosso is the RAM full of tools........

Don't give me too much credit, Joe..... there's a lot of knowledgeable folks show up to share, and hopefully we all go home a bit smarter...... I know a whole bunch of us are going to be real smart about the new slipper clutch and six speed from all the test rides that will be taken on your nice new shiny blue bike...... can't wait!!!!
