Andy, I could use help wiring up a set of used Clearwaters on my forks, but the earliest we can get there is 5pm on Saturday.

Will all the tools be packed away by then?

If shop is still open, sign me and my wife up for the evening. (We will be motel camping.)

That shouldn't take too long - c'mon down! Do you already have what you need to wire 'em up - switch, relay, etc.?

That shouldn't take too long - c'mon down! Do you already have what you need to wire 'em up - switch, relay, etc.

It's a set that came off of an FJR.

So should be straight forward except I don't have much wiring/soldering skills.

It will be my wife Chris's first TechDay. Looking forward to seeing you guys in Sept!

I am in! I need to synch the throtttle bodies. Anyone got a tool? I could also use a valve adjustment, but will only do this if someone can walk me through it. I also have tires to change, but my current threads are nearly bare so not sure if i can wait.

As long as border patrol is in a good mood, I'll see you all on the 16th.

Throttle body synch - no problem. RaYzerman has one of them there thingamabobs to do that. IIRC, yamafitter has one as well with pretty lights on it.

Valves are do-able, but you will need to get down here Friday. The engine needs to be stone-cold (as in, sit overnight) to do valves, and there are some parts - o-rings and gaskets - that you will want to have handy, as well as a jug of coolant.

El Toro Joe was talking aboot tires as well - sounds like we'll need to ask nicely for yamafitter to bring his NoMar.

And I just noticed that you have an '05 - you may want to consider changing the cam chain tensioner.

Ok. I am in. I was able to get the weekend off from work. I need nothing but tasty IPA's, and as much knowledge as I can sponge. I will bring all the wiring stuff I can fit on a bike, and am willing to share all I can (supplies and effort). I plan on bringing a tent and soiling some grass in the yard.

Will pack NoMar tire changer and balancer but whoever is having tires changed need to supply wheel weights. Will also pack my TBS tool with the pretty lights.

Would we have tools/time to do front wheel bearings as well as my forks?

Ray/Yamafitter/Geek- Let me know if you would rather I disassemble the bike here and just run the forks out there.
