Google-ing 'what makes good tequila' I came across this blog.

https://www.friday.com/bbum/2008/06/19/what-is-good-tequila/

Seems to make good sense to me. Funny- the guy in the pic is standing next to two bottles of Partida. I especially liked the comments on the blog.

Anyway- since this thread is evolving into good tequila vs ... not so good, I thought it would be interesting to see really what people think makes a good tequila. Having said that... obviously there is no accounting for one's taste. :p

Salute!

If it don't make you blind, then why bother?

Drink this!

Patron silver is paletable. Centanario Blanco on the other hand... mmmm. Reposado doesn't suck either. I got some Sauza Tres Generaciones Plata and it's not too damn bad either. Sipping tequila, not shot tossing stuff.

Casadores Anejo can do nice things too. I ususally snag a liter when coming across the Canadian border.

The best I ever had was some homemade stuff out of a recycled plastic bottle.

Smooth as silk. Burned clean too, no sooty residue the next day.

I'm a sipper btw...

Whats with all this mambe pambe "tequila" if it costs more than 12 bucks a fifth or can't pull double duty as a rust remover from chrome its not worth drinkin.

Pepe Lopez; liquid dance lessons, makin ugly women beautiful for 50 years.

Seriously though I'm gonna have to seek out a few of the brands mentioned and conduct my own extensive research.
