I have to let you all know that this site was instrumental in my decision to buy my new FJR. I love this friggin bike! I probably wouldn't have purchased a bike that I could not ride much less sit on, but after reading all of the posts I got the fever. My last bike was a 2002 Honda 1100 Shadow, which is now my wife's bike. Going to the '06 FJR is hard to explain to someone who hasn't ridden one. Most of by buddies ride Hardley's and my Shadow struggled to keep up at times. That is a thing of the past for me and I don't think I will ever look back. :yahoo:

Watch out for people like me. I often sound like I'm sputtering useless jokes and stuff, but somehow I secretly inspire you to spend more money on your bike than you want to. Get your fenda extenda? How about your TOGs? You considering a Mayer, or Russell? What about a choice between Wilbers and Ohlins? sportbikeeffects.com can help you out! You need a starcom with bike to bike radio so you and your wife can communicate while riding.

Has your wife been on the back of the FJR yet? She'll want one too!

I have had a FJR since 2003- but previous to that had a Honda Cruiser and wish I ddn't sell it

The FJR is a great bike with fantastic performance- but every once in a while I get in the cruiser mood- so keep your cruiser for the times you want to cruise around town-

Actually, a rule for the group that I ride with is to buy new bikes- but never sell the old ones!

Having come from a cruiser, I can understand why they're happy doing the double nickel... Too much trouble to go any faster.

BTW, even after a year on this puppy I'm still smiling as I get off the bike !
