Yeah. Black.
That is what my '09 looks like.
Actually I like mine a little bit better...but damn, sure glad the black is just for our northern neighbors -- if we had it my wallet would be in trouble!

Looks like a Red Headed Mistress is in my very near future. The question is, where in the SE is the best dealership to buy...

Nice looking RED, good thing it's not my cup-o-tea!

D & H Cycle in Cullman AL has great prices and excellent reputation. They're your dealer...

I like the Canadian version a whole lot better. I don't think I'll ever buy a bright red bike again. They are great if you want the attention, but then again they get a lot of attention which can be a bad thing :) Don't ask how I know.

I had a '97 Honda CBR F3 in the bight red and I couldn't believe the attention that bike got, I could hardly ever stop for gas without someone coming to ask about it. When I moved up to a '99 R1 in blue, I didn't get nearly the attention from people and LEO attention.

I bought my 2013 from Honda/Yamaha of Memphis for $12,999. Not sure what they'll do with these, but if I were buying one, I'd give them a holler.

I have bought two bikes from these folks. They have great prices and great service. Plus, I have said since the '13's came out that they would offer the electrically-adjustable suspension and the USD fork here in the USA. I just may get the new '14 FJR instead of the '14 K16GT Sport Edition. Thank-you Yamaha for giving us more choices.

BTW, interesting that you mentioned 'Toyota'. I bet most are not aware that Toyota owns xx% of Yamaha, and Yamaha owns a smaller xx% of Toyota.
As a Toyota Tech, I can attest that they share some designs as well. I'd venture to guess that their engineers went to the same schools.

The next few years (of FJR's) may be quite interesting!

I find it amusing that there is actually more buzz over this bike on the st-owners forum than there is here. Of course, Honda has not updated the ST1300 since it was introduced in '03 and it is not listed in their lineup for 2013. The ST1300 MSRP was over $18,000 for 2012 as well.

Just spit balling here - but Yamaha needs to go bigger. The K1600 is not going away and frankly Yamaha could do a better job. I am a looking for a bike that I can take from Dallas Texas, to Bar Harbor Maine, Vancouver BC, Key West Florida and San Diego CA - What I call a Four Corners Motorcycle. The 2013 FJR, as fine as it is - is not the bike - yet. Yamaha is the Toyota of Motorcycles - its time they became the Lexus of Motorcycles.
I rode a Goldwing for 11 years and 111,000 miles. I liked the bike, but I often wanted something smaller and more agile that was still a touring bike. Truthfully, if the FJR has been 150 pounds heavier with 300 more ccs, I'd have just kept the 'wing -- it was already paid for ;)

The fancy model is Black, the regular one is Metallic Brown (Chocolate) - yuk!

Red? God Damn it Yamaha, I was awefully happy with my 2013 this morning and now you have me wanting a 14.

Who needs a 2013 with 6K when I get home from EOM?
