I'll letcha know how shitty (said with sarcasm) the electronic suspension is as soon as it arrives. We just ordered two (yes two) ES models!!!!!!
Very Kool!

Congrats Iris and Ed on having identical twins

We're all envious and jealous.
Jim. The blue twins, Iris in white on the left, and Jim tipping his white hat on the right. Once again Iris didn't get her WHITE bike but hey, Red ain't too shabby.

My bad, I even rode with 'em before!

Yikes, I'm getting dementia!

I placed an order for a new ES on Saturday. Dealer has several of both models ordered but said the ES may take longer than the A, December time frame. Will know for sure by the end of the week.

Wowsers!! Congratulations Iris and Jim!! Going from matching Bass Bote Blue to matching Heart Throb Red in one fell swoop!! Awesome.

I hope that you have as much luck, incredible journeys and all around fun on these two new Roho Feejers as you had on the last ones.

Thanks Fred. We're VERY excited. The blue ones lasted us a long time. We're still riding them. We have over 100K on them and they still run great.

Very cool. I am envious. Did you trade in those blue ones?
We have not traded in our blue ones. The dealer gave us the option, but I think we'll try to sell them. They still run great and I sort of hate to see them go.

Black is not a color, it is technically the total absence of any color.
Uhhh, when you are talking about light, black is the absence of all color. When you are talking about pigments, black is the combination of all colors. Big difference.

What kind of outright prices have those looking at buying a '14 seen so far? I have checked with one place (in WI) and was quoted $14.5k for an "A", $15,400 to go with an "ES". (Add tax, registration, doc. fee).
Those aren't bad prices. I've called four local dealers here in socal and best I've been quoted is MSRP but waived delivery or set up charge, just tax and license. The two others that got back to me wanted $1500 and $2k freight and set-up plus tax and license, take it or leave it. Be very curious to see what other CA dealers are quoting.

Good for you Iris and Jim. I too am going to get a 2014. Mine will most likely be a 1300A. But if my dealer treats me right I might get a ES. Time will tell.

Ouch! msrp AND those frt. & set-up fees, crazy!! Who would pay $3500 over msrp?!

Iris,The cruise control wont work for you guys anyway. It only works to 80 mph. lol Did I say Bitches.
Yes, Art.....I recall you saying "bitches".....a few times.....LOL

I don't think the 80 MPH cruise limit will bother us too much (wouldn't it be funny though if they fixed that?). I can just hear it now......"bitches" LOL

If you're willing to travel some, check out Phibb's in Colonie, NY. I won't disclose price, but Steve gave us a pretty good deal; of course we bought two in one fell swoop, so that helped.

I'll keep that in mind Iris. But so far my dealer has treated me OK so I hate to not buy it from him. And Colonie is only about a 2 hour trip for me.

Try the LA area. They will drop prep and freight if you ask.

Sorry, wasn't clear. One dealer was charging $1500 F & S, and the other wanted $2k F & S. The best deal so far was the one willing to waive those fees. A Long Beach dealer was not much better, he hinted if I came up there he might be able to do a little better but was basically saying the demand was high so he wasn't going to budge much if at all. The four I talked to wanted me to come in, didn't really want to quote over the phone.

I see that Yamaha is saying the 12 volt plug can charge a cell phone or run an electric vest. Did anyone ever find out how many amps were running through the plug or if the plug would actually run an electric suit? (liner & gloves and pants for example) and not just a vest?

Unlikely to do more. My Exo2 heated vest draws a maximum of 2.5 amps, within the capability of the glovebox socket, but that's about its lot.
