I bought a pair of travel pants and shirt in Wasilla so I had something to wear while doing laundry and something that didn't look like camp gear when going to dinner. Didn't use the fleece camp gloves but would have had it been colder. My all aluminum tent/tarp stakes should have a least a couple steel spikes/nails for very rocky terrain. The steel spikes also work to make a hole for the lighter aluminum ones. Found some lotion type bug juice in a grocery store along the way that worked great, smelled good and kept my skin silky smooth.Brad... Your equipment lists were pretty comprehensive. Was there anything you missed and were their things you took that you would leave behind the next time.... Great Pics. If you have any left over bear repellent, it might be useful the next time you see Beemerdon!
I think I'm up to day 4 of the ride so lots more coming.A Great Ride Report Brad and Fantastic Photographs, Thank You Very Much!
"Don would have chewed off his own arm before eating those things." Don't be too sure Uberkul, in my six years in the US Army I loved 'C' rations and I was the only one in my unit that would eat "**** on a shingle" in the Mess Hall (chipped beef on toast with white gravy!). jes' sayin' and nuff said, Bon Appetit eh!
Amen, John!Bravo! Great Adventure! Please put the job on hold another week or so to satisfy us wannabe ADV types with more pics of manly men out in the elements!
Having to trim down the report photo count a little make it work. I'll post up the direct link to the full gallery on the last segment to see what you have been missing. No, I don't really want to trim the segments down to make it work.Sorry, but you have posted more images than you are allowed to
The Honda has one long and one short caliper bolt. Luckily he lost the short one. We both carry nuts and bolts but would have been sol had the big one come out.Awesome stuff. Keep it coming.
Just two questions so far.
Don had a caliper bolt with him?
How many spare parts did he bring?
That one his either from experience or luck. Just curious.
+1, Gunny; an incredible report, Papa Chuy is enjoying this so much! JSNS!Great report so far.Keep it coming!!
