1750 miles in how many hours?

Hope you get the itch again. Met you briefly in 2006...my buddy Chris/BugR had you video him on the Dragon.

I was too chicken...being my first time there...and being slow and all. :D

Most likely, you'd be bit by the same issue that got your Dragon cert attempt denied. Try the Wing forum, Troll.

i posted here due to the amount of long distance riders the fjr seems to have,i did not get a welcome like this from the st riders or the bmw riders which i gotta say surprizes me alot!!!!

sorry for the lukewarmness (sp)

1000 in 24 on the Dragon...I would certainly see 1500 in 24 on the Skyway

1750 would be amazing...would you ride it for 1 hour and see what that comes out to and extrapolate to see what your chances are ???

are cops an issue??? were they on the Dragon run

I love riding the Skyway :yahoo:

cops, hmmmmmm,,,,,,,,,,,,,lots of helpers with c/b radios is my best bet and it being a huge secret

He's not trolling anymore than someone suggesting to put car tires on an FJR... ;)

1500 in 24 on the Skyway, spotters, CB radios, sounds like a little civil disobedience being planned.

Be interesting to see how this turns out, just be careful don't take long way down off the drive.

I haven't ridden the cherry cola parkway (yet) so don't know what kind of sustained speed you can make but 1750 miles in 24 hours is 73 miles per hour. Guess it depends on how many stops you have to make and how high an average speed you can keep up.

IIRC the IBA says that you aren;t allowed to overtly exceed the speed limit and the distance/time is simply not legally possible.

I love that road and the others in the region, especially Skyline Drive - did most of that at 60+ the first time down. THEN I found out what the fine was for speeding.

You aren;t going to get a certificate for an Iron Butt performance on those routes.

After meeting a few of your Gold WIng buddies at the Dragon a few years back I have a new found respect for those big sport bikes that you guys ride.

Well, for not wanting a cert., you sure do like to go with the drama about how you didn't get one for your dragon24.

I respect the hell out of your riding, and you seemed pretty nice on the dragon...but your woe is me, I was wronged by the IBA bit gets tiring.

You did something amazing on the dragon in 24 hours...but I don't see how you can figure someone not related to you can "officially sanction" it. If you had as much smarts as you do mcy skill, you'd understand why the IBA did what it did. To continue to be a drama queen about the IBA just lowers yourself in other people's eyes IMO.

You did something amazing and people heard about...now move on and do something else amazing...or not - your choice.

Hope to meet you someday when you're back on your Wing.

Happy riding.
