After doing end over end flips, and raining plastic, the FJR still runs perfectly. The main fuse was unplugged, only reason it wouldn't start!

No damage to forks, rear subframe is only cracked at the tail, similar to how many cracked from loaded top cases.

Other than needing a new front brake line, the bike seems fine. Insane. This thing has been beaten down 3 times, and it is still running like a champ. An ugly champ, but a champ nontheless.

The FJR truly is built like a tank!

Blackbird goes up for sale. If I sell that, I am actually thinking about rebuilding the FJR, or parting it out, and taking money from that and blackbird to buy another bike.

On a side note, take the exhaust off your FJR and run it. It's crazy loud, with a deep nasty gurgly sound. I kinda like it. In the meantime, I might just make it a naked streetfighter with no exhaust. Shed 70 pounds in cases, plastic, windshield stuff, and exhaust, and the FJR is crazy. Like the Bking of FJR's!

Wait a minute...what the hell did I miss here. When did this bike go end-over-end????

All I can say is wow.

As you know I took maybe 60 piccy's that day and the damage looked much more extensive than that.

Good on ya though! Mammy Yammy put it together nice.

Wait, buy another bike? You said, "another bike", not "another FJR"...........

Well, Keith you want to dub your bike: the Phoenix... Well done!

I have a front brake line you can have free of charge. If you can wait until early August I'll ship it to you from the US and throw in the USPS costs.

Stef

PS: it's an ABS brake line.

If there is a difference between the brake lines, you can have my non-abs lines. Also free.....

You were kiddin' about the ST, right?? :puke:
That was my reaction too, having come from that neck of the woods. If you can bounce a check on the FJR, you'll find the ST even more bounceable...Its heavier, and the weight is noticable. Its a very nice bike... but if you haven't rented one for a few days, you might want to consider renting before buying.

Yeah, I went back and found that. Some nasty *****, no doubt. And one lucky Keith.

We still get to "water-board" him, though, right?

Keith, My vote is kill that FJR and part it out and buy a different one. This statement is based purely on Karma! Sum ***** is trying to kill ya man!

Keith, I gotta say I'm glad your ok. Sheesh. Back in the day, I had a little 1989 Nissan truck. Bare bones and cheap cuz I was poor. That pain in the *** was in the body shop every 3-4 months (Never my fault). It was like a magnet for dipshits cuz someone was always hitting it (4x while parked). I was in the shop so much, they knew me by first name and I actually dated the receptionist for a while (another story). Anyways...Some ****** finally made a left in front of me, I hit him head on at like 50 and totaled the little thing. I bought an F-150 and never looked back. The trips to the body shop stopped. Maybe with your bike, like my truck, it was just time.

I say you name it 'Rocky'.....it takes a beating and keeps getting back up!
+1 - but maybe a dual-sport is better suited to you because you seem to like agricultural excursions??
 Yeah, I seem to combine the elements of off-roading frequent enough to convert to a dual sport!

By ST I meant, Sport Tourer. Not ST1300, noooo way would i get one of those.

It would be either a VFR or another FJR.

Right now I am actually considering rebuild as the cheapest option. It will be ugly, but if it is functional, I don't care. I have a person to do paint for me, at minimal cost, so after doing my own prep, I can actually have it repainted for very cheap.

Re: Brake Line. I have no idea if the brake lines are different, but I am guessing yes. Stef, that would be awesome if you could hook me up with a brake line. I will pay shipping, PM sent.

Water board away, I kinda need a shower anyway! ;)
