Over the weekend, I was riding with the wifey around Solvang, California. My wife and myself notice the rear shock was all over the place. It appears my rear stock shock had failed at 23k miles. Time for a new one... I missed out on the Group Buy

So I started looking around on my own. I called a lot of different people and talked about a lot of different rear shocks. When I called Wilber's I talked to a gentleman name Klaus. He seemed very knowledgeable about various shocks, applications and set-ups. He recommended a shock for my FJR called the "Hyperpro 3D Shock" with an external HPA for adjusting when riding doubled up and a progressive spring for my weight. Price was very reasonable when he included a 15% discount.

So the bottom line is: Klaus from wilbersusa.com recommends a Hyperpro 3D Shock for my FJR.

Anybody have any experience with this shock or feedback they could give me ?

Klaus was involved with a Group Buy a few years ago before the GPSuspension.com ones. Many bought Wilbers at time including myself. It was the best deal at the time, but many of us found the shocks were WAY undersprung regardless of Klaus' pronouncements they were right. Personally, my guess was they didn't have 750 or 800 pound springs and tried to use 625 pounders.

Don't know specifically about the Hyperpro, but I I wouldn't look just at the "15%". I'd look at the price compared to the non Group-buy price for a Penske first through GP.

Installed last year, Model # 461-YA13-1AA. Excellent shock. Here is a link to a better picture of what I purchased.

Hyperpro 461

Purchased directly from Hyperpro US, excellent service. I received approx 15% off List = about $750. No idea if this was a special or ? but well worth the money.

No experience with the hyperpro 3D shock, but i do have with Penske. You may want to have a look at the Traxxion Dynamics stimulus package. They have the AK-20 gas charged fork cartridge kit [installed] & probably the best kit available, along with a penske 8983 shock for $1575. An absolute bargain. Give em a call.
