All hockey fans are good losers. I'd be watching the playoffs if I had cable. If ya got beat fair and square...ya got beat. Go carolina.

Ducks want it more. Plain and simple. They deserved the three they won. The fat lady is warming up :( But I hope the Avs stuff a sock in her mouth for 4 more games! Go Avs!

You don't want an "av" on your scoot, believe you me. Put a star on it....

The only thing you guys will be stuffing is nachos in the sports bar while watching Anaheim and someone else in the conference finals  .

As you know, OV, game 5 is Mother's Day, 12 noon. Not exactly a prime time slot. This should help you with finding resale tickets. I've had good luck over the years buying from scalpers in the northside parking lot for face value or less.

Update for OV:

I just checked ticketmaster dot com. Tickets are available for game 5 this Sunday, MSRP + tax and license.

Upper level, if it suits you.

Assuming, of course, that there is a game 5. BWAAA-HAA-HA!

You guys won't be needing those game 5 tickets afterall.

Smokem' if you got um.....the fat lady has sung.

next up.....oiler or shark....quack!

I'm jumping ship from series to series.....go oilers. Roloson rules. Just remember....they got him from minnesota......the state of hockey.

OILERS ON THE WAY BACK! ( I hope) Finally after all these "re-building years! We were lucky enough to live in Edmonton during the dynasty years of the Oilers, with Gretsky, Kurri, Coffey, Anderson, Messier, Fuhr, Lowe, etc, etc, What a great ride it was. Went to many many games and had a ball. The OT in last nights game was outstanding!

Hats off to hockey fans everywhere!

Wow...The Avs have made the playoffs every year since before they came to Colorado in 1995, and 10 of those were as Division Champs. The Ducks have the honor of being the first NHL team in history to sweep the Colorado Avalanche in a playoff series.

Now let's see if they'll Sweep anyone else (Like the Avs swept the Jaguars in the finals)!

Congrats to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim! The best team won. I'm glad to see Teemu skating well, and some of their rookies are just scary good! Big, fast, skilled and with vision for the play. I'm impressed. Good luck moving on...The Sabres and Hurricanes look pretty darn good. Should be a good final. I do think the Sharks will be in the finals this year though. I've recently been wrong.

Correction to some earlier posts. Only 2 times in the history of the NHL has any team that went down 3-0 come back to win. 2 times out of 142 occurrences. Minnesota never did it. Not even once, much less twice.

Secondly, the rookie mistake in game 3 in OT was performed by a seasoned veteran that happens to have his name on the cup from the last time the Canadiens won it. I hate it when veterans make rookie mistakes.

Lastly, I thought Nashville took Detroit to 7 games instead of 6 two years ago. I can be wrong too.

Now that hockey season is over    I mean, now that the contest is boring...uh...I mean, now that my team is golfing, I think I'll go for a ride!

Eastern Ontario (well most of it there are still a few deviate Leafs and Canadiens fans around) took one step back from the brink.

The Sens are heartbreakers, solid, top of the division all season, for what the last 4 years then someone mentions the cup to them and they just can't score,(Leading the sabres 4 to 1 one shots on goal) sigh.

Lots of nail biting waiting for Saturday, (I might even have tickets).

Chris

Congrats to the Ducks...they were the better team...last night they had better spacing/location and were faster as a team than the Avs...Duck won most of the 50:50 plays [more want it] :(

Maybe next year...the Avs will NOT be the same team then as they have many free agents to work through.

It was fun to be with and attend with my sons and their friends [God, I feel old! and did they make girls like that when I was young?!?]

My bad, orange...minnesota came back twice from 3-1 deficits to advance to the western conference. They beat the avs and then vancouver in the postseason of 02/03. That's the only time that's happened in the history of nhl. Of course, we don't need to remind ourselves that they got swept in the western conference finals.

Well...Ducks are gone. Canes are up by one and game 6 is in Buffalo...will it go to game 7? I hope so!!! I think the Oilers have been playing teams, especially the last two series, sub par to the Canes and Sabres. That said, they can win it. Step it up for the finals Oilers!!!

My pick? Canes.

Oilers are going to take a nice little break to recoup....get healthy etc...I'd like to see buffalo win the east(my company flys them around). Seven games for the cup and oilers will take it.

There is a good thing about being an Avs fan at this point:

Oilers win and it shows the world just how tough the hockey is in the Northwest Division, arguably the best toughest division in the NHL. Next, I don't really care a whole lot who wins. The hockey has been really exciting and I just cheer for every good play I see; offensive, defensive, or transitional or save!

I know Jason Karmanos, the son of the Canes' owner, so I am routing for the Canes so I can give him a ring and congratulate him (he's a VP in the organization and a really good hockey player who would have been in the NHL were it not for a puck in the eye that resulted in him having only one eye

anyway, I'm just having fun watching the toughest battle for a trophy that I know of.
