You guessed it, our man Smitty was ready to rock and roll tonight! He pulled up in his truck and quickly rolled out his Easy-Up for weather protection, snapped the No-Mar onto the trailer hitch and we unloaded more tools, generator, lights and such than any human should be allowed to have. :yahoo:

Doug Chapman's bike was first up, where Smitty and Mehaffydr repaired Doug's electrical problem, changed the tires and oil, all in about 30 minutes! Then it was on to Skooters bike, and 4-5 other FJRs, and believe it or not ... Smitty even tackled a Beemer!

Here's the gratuitous shots of the team in action. Smitty was moving so fast, he drew a crowd for awhile!

Ready for action ...

When it was all said and done, Smitty of course, wouldn't take a dime from anyone for his efforts. I should add that Mehaffydr was Smitty's right hand in this effort. They were quite a team. All I could do was try to hold a strategic umbrella to try and keep these guys out of the rain as much as we could while they worked.

Kudos to these guys, they're a real credit to our sport!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

A beautiful thing to watch. Our guys are beyond awesome!

That's Tom Melchild chatting in the background wearing a Rider's Badge around his neck..... looking pretty good for having ridden 4000 miles in that shit weather.... B)

Way to go! You ROCK Smitty! :yahoo: :yahoo: :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Way to go Smitty!

In my best Wayne's World voice: "We're not worthy, We're not worthy"

The guy in blue next to Smitty in the first picture is his big brother Darrell. BMW rider, Iron Butt member and a hell of a guy also. Their mom slapped then around just enough to turn out two great guys.

You really need to see him operate in person to get an appreciation of how he flies around the shop.

Thanks guys for all the nice feedback.. Mike and my brother Darrell where a big part of this effort. If you think about it we had the easy part, we got to sleep in this morning :lazy: . The IBR guys got up at 4am to plan the last leg of the madness.. My thanks to everyone that helped at the mid-point tire/oil party.. Time to unload and dry all my tools off...Smitty :lmaosmiley:

Wow, I just found this. They serviced 28 bikes at the local BMW dealer Friday night, including some FJRs apparently. They had all their staff, plus staff from another dealer there to work all night to get it done.

However, our own Smitty did 6 or 7 bikes in just two hours! Hmmm, Smitty I keep telling you ya need to open your own shop! :clapping:

BTW, I know all those guys at Gateway and they're great people! We finally got a good dealer in STL again. :yahoo:
