After my last incident, I am in need of paint work on the left lower, left upper, both saddle bag lids, and the rear cowling.

I am very fortunate that my friend in Fl. does paint work (very well I might add) and will paint the whole bike for me for the cost of materials.

I have a professional conference in Fl. Sept 19-22. My friend is also getting married in Fl. Sept 30th.

My plan is to ride down there from KY, go to my conference, then ride the rest of the way down to S. Fl and spend the week working on the bike with my friend. My S.O. will fly down and bring my suit (don't think it will pack well on the bike) then I will ride back up.

I will actually get paid to ride my FJR!!!! Plus I won't have to pay for shipping the parts down there and back!!! :clapping:

I figure I'll get some looks at the calico FJR on the way down. Some of my replacement fairings I got are blue and the rest will be scratched up silver!

I am thinking Pearl White. There was a picture of a white FJR at one point, but the pic was deleted from the host site. Any other color reccomendations (not red)?

Hot pink always gets attention ;)

If not why not black it out and then you can say you have a Midnight FJR :dribble:

OK Keith, given your track record for past six months. Paint it white with the Energizer Bunny on the lower panels. Keeps, going and going and going!! :yahoo:

Of course you can wear you crash club president jacket as well!

pearl white is my color. You can't have it.

Actually, I was going to work wtih Pearlescent White and Galaxy Blue and use this bike as inspiration

How about coarse red metalflake with pearl white tribal flames outlined in silver. Looks good on a V-Max, but not sure about a larger bike.

O.k. at least I know what I don't want it to look like.

I kinda liked the style of this one,

but I don't think white and silver will go well, as indicated here.

This looks nice, but I think I want to avoid something that will scream pull me over!

This is the closest I could find for white, and I think that is still my front runner.

I do like that champaign color that radman posted, that is a possibility too!

I will probably stick with one solid color. I don't want to make it any more work for my friend, he's already doing it for free!

Son, life is simple It's either cherry red or... Midnight blue... -Lou Gramm

Ghost flames are pretty cool white on white.

I don't know what a 2006 Yamaha FJR 1300 AS is, but now I want one!

I think that radmans bike color would look trick with some black highlights,

I do believe that I met you at the store on the dragon during the spring this year.

You were on your way to a conference then.

I do believe that you told me that you are an engineer.

Be careful on your ride to fl.

Keith, paint it whatever you like. Pearl white would be pretty, but that much white will need something to break up "slab" and accentuate the body lines. Ghost flames would be terrific, if that's YOUR bag. If not, some pinstriping or hi-lites. Ask your friend his opinion.

I must say that I like the color that Radman posted and I like the Champagne color that Honda had on the XX one year........BUT, its YOUR bike!
