Woot, Robin!! Two things.

First, that was some serious right thinking, experienced motorcylist style! Sports focus is what I call it, and it's different from what most cagers typically bring with them to the road. You were in the game to the point of noticing the signs of a rare phenomenon and then piloting your way through it with subtle moves. Way to go! You truly be da man for that studly (and intelligent) ride home.

Second -- to madmike: I tol' you so!!!! That's why I made a big deal about the winds on the east side of the summit and especially approaching Reno. I lived there a lot of years, and when a storm like that hits the Sierra summit, it can be muer F%@#ing B.R.U.T.A.L. descending into and around Reno. Looks like you got a nasty, draining dose of that kind of day, Robin. Notice that we got off about a half mile west of the summit?!? :lol: Sorry, but there are limits.

Madmike will recognize your narrative of "leaning into the wind all day" from our ride last year from Glacier NP into Helena. Wears your ass right out, doesn't it? Again, applauding your decision-making process -- when you realize you're just trying to see if you can make the next stop on the map, it's probably already time to stop.

Great to see you again, Robin. I trust we will have a big silver Brit bike at a number of FJR functions going forward? Given its chain of title, I think we can call it an honorary FJR.

I have to say.. I am sore from this ride.. Imagine that.. Such a small ride as this should not be so troublesome..

Here is something I did not expect.. That stock Triumph seat was PERFECT.. Not saddle sore at all.. I expected to be..

Tension in the back.. not bad.. The real culprit is my hands. I dont think I had a death grip on the bars.. In fact I am sure I did not. .and after the first day waking up to sore forearms I made a conscious effort to relax..

I guess 18-20 hours in the saddle after a log hiatus my hands were bound to be sore.

This weekend.. I will spend some quality time in the man cave with her. I need to get her registered and Kenra some riding pants. This weekend though. I will take it apart some and try to get familiar with it. I need to at least find the dipstick and a few other routine bits

Tyler, Dear heart.. I would like to rename her.. I want to call her "BB" and Just Shorten it to "B", She earned the name "Battle Bike".. but that is too precocious, So BB, or "B" for short.. She is old enough to be just that and she and I warred on day one.. She has Character and personality and flaw.. but let me down she would not..
