And, it's me!

(sorry, don't know the 'clicky' thing)

I had drug out the old HD to ride to the IBA Jax bikeweek party because the FJR was still down due to some "farklization"; I didn't ride the Gator 1000 because of that, so got to be present for some photo ops.

Even a blind squirrel gets a nut every once in awhile...

Congratulations! May I get your autograph on this blank check I keep handy for just such brushes with the famous?

I had a Dean Tanji pass my GL1500 on his HD during Mass Gold (1611 miles in 24 hours). It was in the dark of night, between Austin and Fallon, NV. I saw his headlights approaching for about EVER. Then saw his tail lights disappear in about the same time. I would guess our speed differential was about 3 mph.

Hey, my first three IBA cert rides were on a Harley. And my wife's only IBA cert too!

Congrats on your cover-shot. Hopefully it will show up in my mailbox this week.

BTW, pictures of my FJR were in the first three issues and a picture I took was also in the inaugural edition.

Thanks all; I do have I think 1 cert on this bike, and another I haven't sent in. Since purchasing the FJR in Oct/'09, the HD has been relegated to local work altho it's still capable of LD albeit with more fuel stops and leisurely pace. It's been paid off for many yrs, so hate to get rid of it...

If I can get the kitchen pass, I was thinking of jumping on this bike and doing a midwest 2 lane road only run of ~ a week or so. Butt, that's a tough one due to my upcoming San Diego-Washington state - Montana run on the FJR in July.

At any rate, my 15 minutes is already well on the way to being over LOL! It is cool to have this little bit of "fame", but more so that I get a little bit of recognition from the LD community, most of which have accomplishments that I can never hope to match. Steve Hobart + Bill Shaw are both class guys and I'm honored they asked me to be part of this photo shoot!

So have people started getting copies of this issue yet? I have yet to receiver mine. (If the trend continues, I will receive it today after posting that I haven't received it yet. that has happened twice already)
