Well, there might be another way to get the $79 rate from the 'troll'...but winning the raffle could be much more attractive.

I'd go and check it out...but, if I wanted a finger up my rectum.....I'd just up and do it myself. Oh, wait.....you old guys have people do that for you.....nevermind. As for you, fjrchik....you are one sick, sick woman. lololol

Riding through Colorado, Utah, and Nevada will be good fun. The midwest will probably be a little boring, but that's the price we have to pay I guess.

Will probably do a jaunt to San Francisco & a small trip up the coast, just to do it. Then, on the way home, we're turning left in the mountains so we can do a tour through Yellowstone (never been there...).

More than a few good reasons to do WFO (NFO), PLUS meeting all the loonie-tunes on this site will be a blast !

Here's the obvious answer that Blackbird owners were raving about last June when Warchild put together the Blackbird meet at the Reno Hilton*:

GREAT rides through twisty Sierra passes with SPECTACULAR scenery.

* Yes, our benevolent dictator has this drill down almost as well as his Group Buy Satan role.
Best answer so far.

So I registered and paid. As FJRCHCIK, still no love in the form of registration code. Troll on other end of line tonight teases that all I need is a registration code and I can have a $79.00 room at the Hilton. Two emails from WFO-5 so far, still no code. Harumph.

Need a little help, here.

How about .. so ya can pass up Rad towing his FJR and give em one these ... :p or a  or a :****:

Still no love on the block room rate code....
As folks have also learned, rooms that are available are spendy, indeed.

If it comes down to it, the two hotels that will serve as our "spillover" will be the Airport Plaza or the Siena. The Airport Plaza is 775-348-6370 - Siena is 775-337-6260, ask for the sales department.
I scored a room for $69 Thursday and $79 Friday-Saturday from the Plaza, before the Hilton released some additional rooms and I canceled. Tell them you're with the motorcycle group from the Hilton and they gave some of the others the rate I mentioned.

The Plaza (and maybe the Sienna) has an hourly shuttle to the Hilton, so you could leave your bike parked there, inside with ALL the others (prolly about 250 or so).

Yellowstone is definitely worth the trip - especially if you're into geology and thermal features. The camp grounds are a little cheek-by-jowl, but otherwise good. There are better camp sites in the Grand Tetons to the east.

If you're going up the coast, 101 through the redwood forests is spectacular. If you make it up to the border, you may as well cross it. The first town you come to will be Brookings, OR, which has about the best piece of coastal real estate of any state park in the country.

Thanks for the tips. I may resort to them.
